Crysis 2 6v6 MP - Official and very sad

I read, that the leaked Beta supports 16 Players :) That would be 8vs8. And thats enough, because the maps will not be as big as Battlefield maps.

I say bigger is not always better. The game isn't even out and yet you're already bagging on C2 for trying to be like COD, well I assure you that's not the case. Crysis 2 is going to be different from any other game I have played before, and Crytek took a big risk by not following popular demand, and I think that C2 will be more tactical and hardcoe than Battlefield:Bad Company: 2
Imagine 30 players with super powers running around and power stomping each other. Try 10 invisible people at a time on 1 map. They have obviously tested many amounts of players and think that 6v6 will be best, think a little bit guys.
This will make the team gameplay very tight, and for me, will be a great contrast for my Battlefield games.

i dont want like 50 ppl running all over the map with death ration 0.001 and 1 guy with 120 kills camping in a perfect spot

6v6 is the best for team strategic play

I vote for more player. I don't want to see anything less from Crysis. Why downgrading from 32 to 12. I find less players, less fun and less interesting game play.

I would certainly get battlefield 3 if it is just 6v6. Now were would those hardcoe dedicated server would fit in with 6v6.

I agree with what someone said on the first page, if you made maps for games you would realize that balancing maps around smaller numbers is essentially easier, and you also pick up on details more instead of running by stuff without glancing at it a second time (battlefield 2 style, ignore the surroundings and blow stuff up).

I do agree also however that 6v6 is a bit unreasonable. If they want Crysis 2 to really 'push boundaries' then they should be willing to expand on the player numbers per server, even 9v9 would be acceptable.

I like hunting that one guy with 120 kills. When I'm not hunting him, I AM the guy camping. I also need 50 people running around so I can go unnoticed. I blow at cqb.

Im not sure.. because the demo will only support 6vs6.
I really hope, that you can change it. I think that 8vs8 or even 12vs12 would be fine for the normal maps.
But Costum Maps... for this you just need more players. Because i think that people will make bigger maps, maybe even with vehicles.

Btw.. did they even said that the editor will be in the fullgame? (i know, it sounds like a stupid question :D)

How do you know it will be max 16 players. In the demo they just announced the release date for, I think they clearly said 6v6. So the demo has 6v6. I hope that doesn't mean the full game will be limited to that as well. I think that at least 8v8 would be acceptable.

the biggest mp game ive seen is mag, it holds 256 players which is way better than cod 12 player

You serious bro? Are you sure that server will hold 64 players sync-ed all the time without lagg? Come on , GPU engine is beast, its better for 12 players mod instead of massive lag.

6vs6????? WHAT A **** PIECE OF ****!!! Crytek What The ****! you just **** up this awsome game... just because you want to scale it down to the **** piece of **** consoles. Learn from the big boys like ACTIVISION BLIZZARD, with only 3 games(wow, SC, diablo) they own the? **** world and YEAH...only on PC. So **** this ****, i'm not spending my money on this MW2 piece of **** game.

yea this is really ruining crysis for me, i'd always play power struggle and now that is no more its gna be shiiiiit, even if they do have it 6v6 is pathetic for power stuggle. why would they scale everything with the console so if it doesnt work for them they take it out completely?? they should give consoles what they can get and give PC all of the features and **** that they could potentially have in crysis 2

This is just another reason why I'm still going to pick up Killzone 3 on release. If 6v6 gets too small and pokey for me, at least I can move over to 10 v 10 or whatever the teams are there.

I guess the low numbers make a little more sense in the context of the suit. Running around with large numbers of superhuman, superarmoured, superstrong and superfast mofos would become a giant ****. By keeping the numbers down the abilities could possibly fit better tactically.

You guys haven't even played it yet.

1.) The maps are SMALL. Whats the point of spawning to an insta-death, which is what happens on small maps with high player counts.

2.) Quit biching about EVERYTHING.

Gotta admit, this isn't Crysis anymore..

This is like CoD now, mindless shooting with rank system...

Where is the old Power Struggle? where is the 32 player map?

The movement to console truly made this game into a Crisis....

Not mentioning about how Crysis 2 have worse graphic than Crysis 1, but the gameplay is just too scripted...

I cancel my pre-order on amazon. Will wait until CryTek learn their lesson from other games like FEAR 2, Supreme Commander 2, UT3 ...etc..
Console destroyed them, not just the name itself into shame..
