Crysis 2 Advanced Graphics Options Application Version 1.6!

Post » Fri Dec 31, 2010 12:21 am

Thank you so much, wasdie! Greatly appreciated.

However, after updating from version 1.3, which was working fine for me, I've run into a problem with 1.4 and 1.5. Allow my screenshots to illustrate the problem (Keep in mind that I'm standing completely still when taking these):

Specs:
Core i7 920 @ 2.66GHz
4870X2 w/ Crossfire disabled (Due to flickering problem)
OS: Vista 64bit

Thanks again!

It would be nice if there was some sort of explanation for each option by hovering of it or something like that.

Problem:

I opened it, and it got to where I had to pick the Crysis 2 folder, but I had to close it... It crashed, and now when I try to run it, it doesn't ask to set the Crysis 2 folder. It's stuck like this, I deleted and extracted the program again, but it still starts without ever asking where the Crysis 2 folder is. It won't apply any settings to Crysis 2, because the folder isn't set.

Is there something in the registry, or what?

also, can this program disable motion blur? I tried using console commands to turn it off, but it won't disable. I actually messed with a lot of console commands in Crysis 2, and very few of them actually seemed to do anything... Like all of these settings are hard-coded.

Once again, THANKS XBOX/PS3!

@MoleZ47
Yea you can customize a lot of settings, for example disabling blur.

also, what exactly is color grading and SSAO?

I've googled it and seen the with and withouts...are they really that important? could I benefit by turning these off (more FPS)?

Having the same problem here. My card is a 4890.. same line. Wonder if that's got something to do with it.

Thanks for the HDR/bloom level adjusters too.

Hey I got a quick question.

Is the - Low, Med, High on this program High, Very High, Extreme in-game?

Or are the Low, Med, High actually lower than what the game provides and this tool is to help those with old GPU's?.

Thanks.

Anyone know what the default Bloom and HDR levels are? 0.0 seems to be basically, off. I'd like to know what the defaults are so I sort of know where to start tweaking to bring down the bloom a bit but keep HDR at default.

Thanks a lot for your efforts!

I've found just having the following settings in my autoexec.cfg works well for 6950's in crossfire.

g_skipIntro=1
r_motionblur=0
g_radialBlur=0
cl_zoomToggle=0
cl_crouchtoggle=0
r_VSync=1
r_MotionBlurShutterSpeed=1
g_enableInitialLoginScreen=0

If i use some of the other settings, i think the aa ones, i get a major loss in fps and some kind of doubling going on. The system settings for aa seem to work better in my case. So there must be a difference from your settings versus the system ones (high, very high, extreme). Perhaps video card maker specific?

As a side note for the flickering in crossfire i found renaming the crysis2.exe to bioshock and adjusting the brightness each time i load the game fixes it.

Cheers!

Hi wasdie, just downloaded ver1.5 its great stuff I must say. Don't mind me asking too much, but is it possible for you to make another version which do not alter Mouse Acceleration and Mouse Smoothing? Other than that, I find the application perfect.

Wow... you're the man Wasdie!

This also kinda makes me laugh, because at this point even if Crytek does manage to get off their ass and give us some in-game graphics options it'll be half of what Wasdie has given us lol. Hats off to you sir.

P.S.- is there any way to turn off the "film grain" effect?

This nice,

U can ADD a MOUSE SENSIBILITY change?

So we can input a precision number!

Command!

cl_sensitivity=

IF I PUT THIS ON Autoexec.cfg, AND OPEN Your PROGRAM, the PROGRAM CRASH!
THE PROGRAM WORKS ONLY IF YOU DON'T ADD NOTHING MANUALLY IN AUTOEXEC.CFG!

THE PROBLEM!!!!

IN game sensibility: 0 ...5 ...10 ... 15...... pfff i need more precision

PLZ ADD A MOUSE SNSIBILITY, So i can put this 5.56,

THX, SHOW DE BOLA!! ^^

Sory my english!

The 1.5 fixes the issue of the mouse acting like a whip. I have it set to 25, no accel or smoothing and it's working great now.

Hello wasdie,

Great app man, guys like you make PC community proud. Crytek should look at this that one of the fan is completing their half made product.

Well I have a question, can anyone of you confirm that this works with steam version I can't find autoexec.cfg file. Also in which directory should I place this app (steam version).

Thanks again.

Thanks I will try this.

Someone else has asked but I would also like to know what the default is for HDR & Bloom and what the ranges are.

Cheers.

I have the Steam version of Crysis 2 and it works fine. If you don't have an autoexec.cfg file that's ok, the program will generate one for you.
