I've been reading this forum and a lot of people have been hating on Crysis 2 because of the lack of DX11 at launch, requirements of C2 are not as brutal as C1, console inclusion in the whole Crysis universe (I strongly believe that it really should be for the PC, but hey, they still made a great game), and other issues. While those (and several others) are valid grounds for "complaining" (err, more like "trolling" and "flaming" if you ask me), I believe that Crysis 2 and Crytek should be praised.

First of all, in all platforms, the graphics look amazing. I don't know about you, but the PC graphics for this game is lightyears ahead of its console brothers. The faces look real. The lighting looks real. The water looks real. Heck, explosions make you feel warm and fuzzy. That is not to say that the graphics on consoles svck. They are freakin' great. Personally, I think Crysis 2 has the best graphics on the Xbox 360 to date! Perhaps the textures are a bit lacking, but it makes up for so many polygons, effects, particles -- basically, more things are happening on screen than your Halos or Call of Duties! We have to admit, that despite the lack of DX11, the game looks freakin' amazing.

Second, they are at the mercy of the -- *gasp* -- publisher! In this case, it is EA! You do know that EA is the one funding Crytek to create this game. This means that they can pressure or coerce Crytek to release earlier than expected, create console versions, and other things. They are also affected by politics.

Third, the gameplay! I don't know about you, but I'm tired of the usual Call of Duty gameplay, which forces you to run through a corridor and each firefight is an exercise of your fingers. Higher difficulties require faster fingers. In Crysis, you actually have to use your head! And you can also scale walls, go under ground and walk in plain sight! You can use objects in your environment to kill your foes! And you feel happy! Playing Crysis 2 makes me happy

If you think you needed to use your brain in this game then you must have not played the first one. This game is very linear compared to the first one . Not as bad as COD but its closer to COD than it was the original Crysis. Several features and options that made Crysis unique have been stripped away.

Crysis 2 is a decent console game, but as far as pc goes its an embarrassment compared to what they released 4 years ago.

O sorry. I loved Crysis 1 and Crysis Warhead.True works of Gaming Art.

Crysis 2 is a good console game and a below average at best PC game.

I have played Cryteks games since Far Cry then Crysis + Crysis Warhead and now Crysis 2.
And to many are just complaining about DX11 and such and forgetting about the game and how good it really is, ok i want Dx 11 and hope they release it , but as it is all Crytek games in single play are brilliant this is one of few games that really gets me going.
FarCry Both Single and Multi where superb
Crysis and Crysis Warhead single where brilliant maybe a bit short in warhead but still good and worth the money Multi i have mixed feelings about.
Crysis 2 Single are so fun and looks really great in my eyes it looks better than crysis 1 (i dont go close to textures to find faults) i even like multi but it takes some time to get used to as im a bf2 / bc2 player.

So Crytek you have done a great job in this game keep it up and dont forget to patch up stuff thats bad and please add DX11 so all those that complain are silenced, and i guess many more buy the game when dx11 is included;-)
