Hi same problem, it cant find my install and there doesnt appear to be any indication of what version I actually have installed.

1. Have you previously installed the Crysis 2 PC demo?
2. Have you uninstalled the demo before installing Crysis 2 retail?
3. Did you change the path for the default installation and if so, where to?
4. Which Operating System are you using? (Example: Win 7, 64-bit)
5. Where did you purchase the game from – EADM, Steam, Retail or another DD partner?
6. Can you provide the MD5 checksum for the Crysis2.exe in the game directory?
7. Which virus scanner software are you using?

3 i have the steam version and my steam games are stored on my second hdd (D drive) so I think the answer is yes.

6 Sorry but i have no idea what this is or where to find it.

Also I just attempted copying my crysis 2 directory (named "crysis 2") to my C drive to see if it would recognise it but the patch failed to locate it again.

I bought through Steam and the patch was not able to find the game in my computer. Help please? I can't even play the game without the game hanging before showing the menu.

If you bought it through Steam, it should be updated. As far as I know, the retail version only needs this patch.

i realise it is the weekend but this is a total mess ... the game is failing on every front ! if this is the way they do things i don't think i will buy another game from crytek , totally rediculous this.

I have a feeling Crytek will listen to their fans more soon. Especially if they plan for Crysis 3. It's not their fault at all. I blame the company for pushing them. Developers of their own games need to STAND their ground and put their foot in the door because this game is your property. You have every RIGHT to tell them why you can't be pushed at any standard or this is the result of what happened. Chaos in forums about the game, angry gamers who originally believed the game belongs on PC first. AFTER all Crysis 1 STARTED with PC.

I don't personally blame Crytek. I blame the CORPORATION for pushing them over the edge. I seen it happen. It's time for them to stand their ground and give back to the pc community properly. I am sure they will redeem themselves in the next patches. If i was a dev of Crysis 2 i'd be boiling on my seats by the computer finding ways to make things right and make my OWN customer and supporter happy!

I still stand by you Crytek and i support you. I want you to deliever us a happy moment soon. Make it happen.

Manual Patch finds the folder on my G: drive, starts updating, and freezes in the middle of updating "crysis2.exe". JUST LIKE THE AUTO UPDATER.

Destroys my install and forces me to uninstall/reinstall AGAIN.

I have wasted 3 hours since the Tuesday launch installing/reinstalling, plus all the time wasted searching and now posting to this forum.
I've been huge fan of Crysis, but this is f***ing lame.

Please fix this piece of crap patch. I really feel I've been ripped off, wasted my money. Should've bought it in a year when it was half price and fixed.

Wonder why my auto update worked the first time I ran the game? I used the EADM to get the game. Maybe run the manual one as admin and make sure it's in a default location. Should have seen the "are you freaking high?" conversation I had with EA chat over the EADM not obeying its own settings!

The Patch does not work; it has the same problem with the auto-download (can't find the core game). The manual download has a search bar and it was searching for Steam folders ONLY. My game is downloaded from EADM.

i uninstalled & re-installed the game, dl manual patch & no issues with patch installation. but sad to say still unable to log in to multiplayer + the console function is still disabled. so does this mean the patch isnt working for me? Help pls.

really? then can i get some assistance on like how should i edit the system.cfg or autoexec.cfg? i know the autoexec.cfg is self created, ive done so with added con_restricted = 0 & located the file in the crysis2/bin32 folder where it system.cfg is but still no console enabled. and i cant edit the system.cfg file either

also just realized on my uninstaller, its still version 1.0 whereas in crysis 2 folder its 1.1... which one is correct?

i still have the same **** problem, all my stats resets every time i turn of the game >:C next time i wont pre prushase another game >:C
