Crysis 3 is awful

Post » Tue May 28, 2013 11:34 am

The campaign is just the worst thing ever. Cringe worthy cheesy cliche fest storyline, some godawful level design, and only seven goddamn missions compared to Crysis 2's 18 missions. It was a massive letdown and to be honest I think it's probably ruined the series.

The story is plain awful. Crysis 1 and 2 had stories which were kind of realistic, but Crysis 3 is just ridiculous. C.E.L.L taking over the world, Ceph with **** telekinesis, and the 'godlike' alpha Ceph being defeated in a Pokemon reminiscent boss battle. *cough* ****.

7 missions?! Why would you make it less than half as long as Crysis 2? Then again considering how awful the campaign was its probably a blessing in disguise

**** Ceph magical telekinesis electricity ****, what the hell?

'Prophet is becoming a Ceph, but he must fight the evil Ceph urges and do what's right' hmm, a protagonist fighting some kind of inner evil how original!

In short Crysis 3 is an embarrassment to the brilliance of Crysis 2.

That's the end of my pointless non constructive rant

the only thing I hate about Crysis 3 is that there are less levels that in previous games but id say it almost makes up for this because the time it takes to complete one and also how big the levels are

OH puahalese .... Levels can be finished in well under hour if don't stop every five minutes to admire the graphics and that is if you do some walking around to search for notes, intel etc. If you rush it it's 5-6 hrs of playing maybe even less.

I haven't played any of the Crysis campaigns. TBH most games have poor campaigns. The last one I enjoyed was Uncharted 2 (best action/adventure game of all time). It seems when a developer jumps into the multiplayer genre, the campaign goes down hill in short order.

You should try Crysis 1. It's much better than an average campaign!

If you play on the easiest difficulty level (Recruit?), you can complete each level within 10-15 minutes even if you do a lot of fails or even die. It doesn't even require much effor and memorization in order to complete the game within 80-120 minutes.

Didn't quite hate the campaign but then again I didn't like it either. One thing that striked me hard is that they basically erased Alcatraz (mentioning him only once or twice in the intel if I'm not mistaken), yea yea I know he was a walking meat sack that couldn't talk and was only kept alive by the suit but I was kinda hoping for HIM to be in the suit again and well, get to know more about him. Prophet is a badass and all that, trying to save the world and sacrificing everything and bla bla...bottom line - he's boring.
