Crysis 2 benchmark: some problems.

Post » Sun Dec 11, 2011 9:43 pm

I have a retail version of Crysis 2. I have updated it to 1.9 successfully and I can play it with ultra settings without any problems (GTX 580 SLI). Problems start when running the benchmark using the oaman tool.

The game is installed in E:\Crysis2, as adviced in the benchmark README.
Every time I start oaman, it doesn't remember my settings (I have to specify the position of the Crysis 2 binary at every run). Additionally, EA Origins starts to download the 1.9 patch (again!). When he finishes, a message appears, saying the patch has already been installed (of course!)

Any advice to fix this annoyance?

BTW, only one scene for the benchmark? I would expect a more comprehensive benchmark, after all. :(

EDIT: I have uninstalled the EA Origin program but seems it doesn't help. oaman starts downloading the 1.9 patch again and again. Seems like it is the "patchprogress.exe" process. It starts inconditionally.

I guess nobody uses the Crysis 2 integrated benchmark?

It doesn't work, I shouldn't have to use an external application to benchmark on crysis2, Hence why I use Fraps.
