Is there a PS3 demo?

No. Not at the moment.

It did, but at least it had the graphics to counterbalance it. Im just going to say it, if you disagree or take offense dont even respond. Consoles are holding PC gaming back.

Right dont respond to being considered a blight on the industry, by PC elitists. Keep up the idea your superoor to people just because you spend more on a platform.

It's decent. I don't hate it, and I had fun playing it. It felt a lot like the F.E.A.R. games to me. The general feel of the atmosphere and the character movement felt very similar to those games. Both of which I enjoyed, so that may affect my view of the game. i definitely felt like the guns were inconsistent, but if those things get fixed, I see a lot of potential for the game.

Played it earlier. Already uninstalled it.

Bad controls.
Bad guns (seval shots with a shotgun to kill a guy close range, sometimes just one)
Bad hit detection.
Graphics arent that great.
people have already found camping spots for snipers.
Killstreaks like CoD.
Grenades are pretty damn terrible.

Generally its bad. I dont know if its what crysis 1 was like, but if it is I have no issue with it being PC exclusive.
And many people cant play, they load the game only to freeze...

Just feels broken, especially when I you can go up close with a shotgun and its quicker to just beat them. Also lag, lots of lag.

Crysis has never been about its multiplayer, I'm not sure why they are having a multiplayer beta. If this means they are focusing on MP now I probably won't buy it, I already have enough good multiplayer FPS games to keep me occupied.

You guys are basing the game off of a beta?

While I would agree with this sentiment years ago the definition of beta has evolved. It used to be a beta was a "beta", now it seems like it is more of a multiplayer demo where people will dismiss bugs because of the fact that it is a 'beta'. I say this because a lot of games don't even bother fixing bugs that were very apparent in the beta.

Its not killing other people thats the problem. Its the game.
SP or MP, of the controls are clunky and the guns svck its not going to be a fun experience.
Ignoring the MP issues of lag, hit detection and camping. It still dosent make a good game, definately not something worth the money.
Shame because it had potential Crysis 2 = Section 8 all over again.

You don't buy the game for the mp...Multiplayer has never been a huge part of Crysis.
And the mp of Crysis has always played differently than the sp.

It's cool, feels like a cross between Halo and Call of Duty.

Beta's are more about finding glitches and bugs and testing servers and whatnot, and most of that is in multiplayer. I don't remember ever playing a single player beta.

Again read my post.
The issue is the controls and the fact that the guns are crap. That will translate to SP, multiplayer is irrelivent, the only difference MP makes is the people you play with, if the game is just messed up anyway then its a bad game.
I dont see how I cant judge the game as a whole considering I know how the game feels, and that is universal.

The guns weren't very "good" in the first Crysis either. I recall shooting someone 15 times in the first one before they would die, in extreme cases. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that EA pushed them to hard, though I have no real facts for that. I wouldn't be surprised if it was "strongly encouraged" for them to focus on the multiplayer aspect of the game more. I don't really remember anything about the controls on the first game, I'm assuming if they were bad I just remapped them.

If you ignore MP issues that pretty much leaves you with the gun thing and the controls, controls can be rebound (on consoles too I assume?) and they might have been trying to keep with the tradition of the original. Also bad registry could be making it so it seems like it takes a lot more bullets to kill someone than it actually does. I'll wait and read reviews, but very few FPS games are worth $50-$60 for the SP; mainly because they try to push out a half-assed multiplayer in my opinion.

The Good: The music

The Bad: Dropped connections each time i connect (dropped about 4 times)
It froze 6 times when i load it.

This is about 45 minutes with the demo and i havent been able to actually play it. If they are going to release a beta, at least make it playable.

Why would we not respond if we disagree? You make a moronic, elitist statement like that and then you ask that no one make a rebuttal? You know what's holding PC gaming back? The developers themselves are. If they don't want to push PC gaming forward, that's their prerogative, but then they go and blame consoles which is just idiotic. Crytek could've made Crysis 2 look better than Crysis while making the console versions as they are now. That would probably require extra work. Now, do we blame the easy option for existing or the developer for taking it?

Sorry if that sounded harsh.

There's obviously more money to be made from console games. Crytech have just been moaning about consoles not being powerful enough and 'holding PC gaming back', but that isn't stopping their next game being a 360 exclusive!
I found the original Crysis boring - I just don't like military shooters, and I don't play online, so Crysis 2 doesn't really interest me.

I played the demo for the 360. It's pretty damn good.

Also, I'll probably get it for my 360, I don't want to put that much stress on my PC. Though I did run the original pretty well.

Well one hit melee is a bit ridiculous and the hit markers are way off. The game is still a bit glitchy but it isn't in its final form yet.

I may play some more later tonight.

Ugh this game can get really frustrating. I hate it how you have to collect dog tags for killstreaks. It makes the whole rush while cloaked thing way to powerful, which is probably the worst thing about the game. However I do enjoy the "don't die button" (armour thingy) a lot. And considering I don't care for the campaign and the multiplayer is Meh, I probably wont get this game.

I played it a bit a couple of days ago and thought it was average at best. I don't want to play it for the multiplayer anyway, I'm interested in Crysis for the singleplayer.
