Crysis 2 Beta : Othor Games

Hey there BGSF, don't know if you all know but the beta for Crysis 2 is on XBOX 360 and I have to say it is pretty sweet! So is anyone else playing it?

It's good. Although my ability to aim has disappeared for some reason. It's pretty to melee them though. Got like 7 kills in a row just by doing that. :shrug:

Ironic for a developer who focused the first Crysis entirely on the PC...

Well there isn't a PS3 demo either so obviously M$ pitched in some extra dough.

But I don't understand why there wouldn't be a PC demo. Why would Microsoft pay developers to have a demo exclusively on the Xbox when most PC games run on Windows which is owned by Microsoft??

Played it earlier. Already uninstalled it.

Bad controls.
Bad guns (seval shots with a shotgun to kill a guy close range, sometimes just one)
Bad hit detection.
Graphics arent that great.
people have already found camping spots for snipers.
Killstreaks like CoD.
Grenades are pretty damn terrible.

Generally its bad. I dont know if its what crysis 1 was like, but if it is I have no issue with it being PC exclusive.
And many people cant play, they load the game only to freeze...

Just feels broken, especially when I you can go up close with a shotgun and its quicker to just beat them. Also lag, lots of lag.

lol did you throw the grenades ?
The entire screen shakes and makes it hard to tell wtf is going on for a second, and then you see it fall about 10 feet away...

Also were many people spamming active camo ?
And one guy camping on the greenhouse with a sniper.

Worst part was if I had a shotgun it would be easier to just run up and beat the person with it than to shoot them. Making me wonder why even put a shotgun in game.

Yeah I have returned to Call of Duty, but hey the reason they have the beta is so that they can find problems with it right? So I guess its doing its job.

True, but the beta may turn people away from the game completely. I mean minor fixes could be good, but I cant think of anything that stood out here, anything good anyway.
And the only reason it was so talked about was graphics, personally I dont care for them, but even then it loses that advantage because its on console.
I have seen crysis 1 gameplay and the graphics tooled great at max, but really here they just didnt seem that different. Though it was a nice change from grey and brown.

I can't even download it. You have to have Gold. Oh well, never played one, so not sure if I am missing anythign.

The controls are awful.
The graphics are average.
Melee is completely overpowered compared to the weapons (aside from the shotgun).
Sound quality is pathetic. Your character's footsteps sound like they are coming from two feet away in the direction you're running.

Uninstalled. Not a game that should have been ported to consoles. Let the PC gamers have their technology showcase. It's a sub par shooter.

I want this to be a poll now. Just to see how many people like it/hate it. I thought crytec were suposed to be a good company. Should have stuck with PC.

You guys are basing the game off of a beta? :huh:

I found it alright. Not the smoothest gameplay. Shotguns were a bit annoying, I think I died by campers with shotguns the most. If I do get the game it isn't for the multiplayer though. Graphics looked pretty good also.

I am not! I said the point of the beta is to find out the problems. I am in fact still looking forward to the game.

It did, but at least it had the graphics to counterbalance it. Im just going to say it, if you disagree or take offense dont even respond. Consoles are holding PC gaming back.
