Not a disappointment, but nothing majorly awesome like the first one was.

And this is before taking into account my multiplayer experience...or rather the lack of it.

i like it, but its not anyway as good as it should or could have been. It's an obvious console port. even if they say they didnt port it from console, they made it so the pc version could be ported to the consoles, which still drasticly limited it

w/o console hard limitation it would be much bigger and better, still it's okish.

except,

Yeah, broken record again

to remind any server admin of these f.a.g.g.y. nuts ruining 60+ ppls' experience and time and money (bandwidth and electricity and whatnot)

"crytek programmer" " F.A.G. tinkerbellfuguup" "DGI andrew 000000"

just to encourage server ban. yeah.

and to irene petrov, it's nice to see korean here in forum.

Without any doubt the game is good, but without the consoles it'd have been way better. Especially the graphic options and missing DX11 (and not even 10!) support is a shame...

The game on itself isn't really bad, but it could have been so much better without the consoles :)

At first no, even though it's running on dx9. But what disappoints me was the bunch of hackers that makes the game useless to play and not fun anymore.

It's cause we live in Console Dark Ages.

Not for me?
Great game? great singleplayer?? Better story than Crysis 1 (in my opinion), the only but are the graphics, but since I′ve only a 4770,It′s not a matter for me.

In my opinion the first Crysis is the better game, making Crysis 2 more or less a dissapointment.
Crysis 1 is FOUR years older than Crysis 2 and it`s not easy to tell which graphics look better.
I can understand Crytek because nowadays you can only make good money with a game if you release it for konsoles, BUT why wasnt Crytek just being honest with us ? What was so hard about telling us "Okay pc-community, crysis 2 will be multiplatform" instead of lying to us "yes pc-gamers will get the better game" which is simply not the truth !
Crytek just tricked PC-Community into buying their game !
I am personaly dissapointed because of the very bad A.I, even on post-human the game was hardly challenging :(
It took me 7h and 45min to beat the game on post-human and thats just not enough.
Considering the Multiplayer, i think its too much action and not enough tactics.

This just in... the "hard core" from the PC market just joined the "hard core" from the console market in revealing themselves to be entitled self-serving worthless little ****! Need proof? come here to the Crysis 2 forums! Where you can see literally thousands of threads talking about how the game svcks because you dont need a system built by nasa to run it, how bugs that aren't game enders and the normal gamer can run through without knowing it's a bug are game enders that ended the game, and how suddenly a series that was known to be svck at multiplayer before.... svcks at it now, but they are now suddenly pissed about it!

Seriously guys... you sound like XBOTS!

C2 does look pretty good, for a DX9 game it looks great honestly.

But the lack of PC graphic options, the "laggy" mouse/keyboard input (i press jump and it takes about 1 second for my character to actually jump), the buttons getting stock when changing from armour to cloak mode (using mouse) and several bugs. It just feels so console like.

Go play warhead or C1, see how super responsive and smooth the controls feel, that to me is a huge let down.

Also i never experienced a MP game before, without the use of PB or VAC for anti cheat. My first two games yesterday were shared with a hack fiesta.

Seriously Crytek, do not forget who made you who you are today (the PC community). Sure you wanted other platforms to experience what we did in C1 and Warhead, but that does NOT mean you just port a game for us. Even though you say it is not ported, it definitely feels ported.

Fix the bugs, make the input more responsive, give us DX10 and Dx11 and use PB or VAC (personally use PB for master ban index), and give us more server control.

I thought 3arch screwed us with that silly rcon tool, but this....this just takes it to a whole new level.

I'm sorry but i simply can't believe you on the graphical element, character models are infinitely more detailed in C2, and the engine is far more optimized so that those who simply don't have the dosh to gush out on a top notch system to have some fun.

For example the Nanosuit textures, on my machine on equivalent settings, in C1 are pixelated, whereas in C2 they have definition and depth. Perhaps the environment is the difference, where tbe jungle simply looked more impressive...except that RTI also sets its scenarios in a jungle environment and still looks better (linky btw)

I was able to play C1 with a relatively weak hardware. Wasn't as pretty back then, but at least it worked. I don't know about character details, but the koreans in their camos were perfect for the gameplay.

It even had a "press START" written on start screen first day or 2 until they fixed it so yeah...

Very much disappointed with the game myself btw. All details been described many times here and there so I'll just stop on this.

Well yeah for current standards my system is ancient and i still ran C1, but i'm not talking about the general look, but the actual textures. You look at the nano threads on the NS2 compared to the NS1, on the NS1 they look like a jpg stretched over the detail OBJECT. The NS2 just looks more fleshed out. (NOTE: This is on my system on the same settings, average fps went up from 20-30 to 40-60)

To me, its the shaders in C1 that set the bar, C2 sets the bar for texture and modelling details.

You know what does look good actually? Guerilla's Killzone engine is one of the best engines around, i'd rate it higher than Frostbite.

Read the note where it was my system, which i acknowledge not to be one of the best out there?

Put simply, my machine runs better FPS on the same settings in C2.
