Singleplayer - minus the AI that feels like a classroom full of special education students and the graphical bugs - yeh I thought it rocked.

Multiplayer is so broken it nearly brings me to tears, the MP has so much potential but the hit-detection, useless killcams, lag and migrating session issues are **** me to tears. The MP needed another 2 months of work, won't be buying a Crytek UK game for the MP again.

Honestly, I'm loving it
Yeah there are issues here and there, the lag is pretty frustrating. But to be honest I still love it, I'm adjusting to the game but I've got 13 hours playtime online and I think I've played enough to give an honest idea of the game. It's so unique, and the versatility of the suit is excellent.

Each player builds their own playstyle and I think that's something few FPS' offer nowadays
Thoughts?

I reckon Tranformers: WFC and Bioshock 2 actually catered to individual playstyle better than C2, but that aside, this is a far more tactically orientated game - too many people are only using stealth at the moment, but when the MP issues are resolved and more people have had an extended gaming session I think some really unique and interesting strategies will start to come to the fore.

Ah I haven't played any of those unfortunately, my main shooters have been BF, CoD and Halo -
Your typical mainstream FPS games.

Perhaps the reason I enjoy C2 so much is because it's different
Also I've personally found stealth to be the most successful sort of tactical approach to the game, mainly because with my high ping - live in the middle east - I rarely win 1v1s, so stealth is necessary to get behind the enemy and flank.

What sort of things do you see changing in the future?

More people getting the hang of using Armour for one. I've yet to see anyone use slide but myself so far. Better Stealth / Armour combinations. Better team work and team tactics, so far there is almost no team work. I'm still learning the layout to alot of the maps, mainly due to really poor map rotation, so better strategies regarding how the game starts and what direction everyone runs off in. And I'd love to see the kinds of bait, trap, blow half a team up with C4 tactics that are going to start to be developed.

Mullpig -
That all sounds great, personally I've been trying to develop some new tactics but with my lagg I find everything inferior to stealth as it often relies on connection, whereas if I flank the enemy I shoot them in the back badabing badaboom.

Although C4 on crash site - devastation

You'll have a great time, but it takes some adjusting

Am I the only person who didn't hate the AI? I had zero problems, I thought they were amazing, I was sure this would be the one thing people wouldn't be complaining about.

Actually there is a long thread in the Crysis Discussion forum talking about how good it is, the thread was negative to start with but has been inundated by people that love it. What **** me is that it is nowhere near as good as all the hype surrounding the game and being built up before release made it out to be. It is seriously no different in any of the difficulties, don't get me wrong here, single player was still fantastic, but Half-Life 2's AI was so far beyond this that I am really disappointed by it.

I will say this, the AI is inconsistent at best, sometimes it is surprisingly good, but only sometimes.....

I enjoy singleplayer, but I just can't stand the multiplayer. Horrible lag in almost every match (How the hell Crytek UK managed to screw up the netcode?!) makes the game unplayable.

Twice now I have gotten the Deal the Most damage - Deal the Least Damage (I think that is what it says) award in the same game - really weird.

And i seem to get the Shot the Most players in the crotch award every other match, maybe I jsut crouch way too much, maybe the Nanosuit grow genitals on everyones chests and faces

How Addictive is the Slide? Seriously, I was addicted to the slide in Far Cry 2, but the slide in this is off the hook.

I use it a ton to get out of certain situations and it also helps when you wish to collect dog tags discreetly. I don't think that 75% of the population playing the game don't even know that they can slide.

Heck, I don't even think that 25-50% of the population even know what the suit does......

I'm loving it, Not having any issues with migrating host, allthough I am having some trouble finding games sometimes. But that's mostly because my router is old and is starting to fail. I'm having a blast in-game and I'm impressed over how well it actually works for a game that has such nice graphics. Sure the killcam is abit bugged and there are some minor lag issues for some ppl. But compared to the release of CoD:Black-ops and Gears of War 2 i think crysis 2 is working realy well. Give it a month or two and there's no doubt this game will evolve into a "Multiplayer game of the year" atleast for me :)

The AI still works into the wall, at least its now less thanks to patch, but it does sometimes

Game is great, Multiplayer lag is not appealing and becomes annoying. Recent patch improved networking, but only when I play on my own. If I play with my friend who lives on the other side of US. Yeah then it lags the hell out.

it seems consoles users are much more positive about the game for sure! =D good to hear something except negative voices
fortunately you guys didn't played (probably) the first Crysis and addon so you no need to compare Crysis 2 with some kind of etalon
regarding lags and bugs - i'm sure most of them will be fixed nearest time. the game released some earlier it should be, so just some patient and it will be OK!
btw multiplayer is really awesome and fun =))

Even with all the flaws in multiplayer, I still enjoy it. I feel the campaign was very good also.
