CRYSIS 2 vs BRINK

Post » Fri Dec 31, 2010 10:18 am

Hey i have a small question here. I can get only one of the games between BRINK and CRYSIS 2. I'm looking only at the multiplayer aspect of the games to be the decider .
I know both are different in their own ways but i want the better one fo the 2 in terms of multiplayer.

Any suggestions??And check out mutiplayer vids from BRINK 2.

PS: Since this is the crysis 2 forums i'm sure no one has not see the crysis 2 mutiplayer videos ;p

What platform are you on? If you are on PC, an MP demo for Crysis 2 has been announced, so keep an eye out for it.

do you like call of duty multiplayer? that is a good base to start from for crysis2's multiplayer, cuz it looks like they through out the innovation of the first crysis in favor of the money milking gameplay of call of duty.

@Maximum Alien: yeah cant w8 for the PC mp demo

@ weeschwee: Nah i despise cod mp gameplay ( personal preference no flame war pls :) ). I prefer battlefield bad company 2 and play it all the time. However i don't mind the few COD elements as the shooting and gun handling seems more real and satisfying like battlfield.

I have to give it to brink for the sheer amount of customization depth that actually has an impact on gameplay regardless of which mode your playing & the smart mechanic feels like a true step forward in maneuvering all around environments because you just walk or run whatever direction your looking in well tapping a single button without getting trapped into a canned animation & without boundary restrictions & perform the action with complete control over your actions at all time.

If youre into teamplay Crysis 2 has nothing on Brink.
Brink is also way more objective based, looks like C2 will only be (T)DM.

Great games, I'm getting them both. But if you had to choose 1, then it'd be C2.

I am a fan of this game and what they're doing with the game play and the art style. But I will definately be looking to focus my attentions on DX11 titles by that time. So unless they implement DX11 I will most likely pick it up in a sale or give it a miss.

I would try to get another 60 bucks if I were you. But if you like BC2 then you will probably like brink better. Its really hard to say because Crysis and Brink are so different from each other and both are really good.

Crysis MP is like all the good parts of CoD without the bad parts. It uses its own play style but at the same time utilizes killstreaks like MW1, prestige mode, and fast-paced gameplay. Also, I think C2 takes a lot more strategy and thinking in order to live longer.

im getting both, Brink will be released like 2 months after Crysis 2

so you can buy crysis 2 which comes out in a month, or brink which comes out in 3

OK firstly if i could got both games i wouldn't be posting this question now would i :| ( P.S. its only 20 US$ in India for each of the games \m/ )

Secondly after reading all your opinions i understand that BRINK is more objective based and certain goals are to be completed by your team to win whereas crysis 2 will only have DM and TDM and you can be a lone wolf and play the game so:

-If i can get my mates to buy the game get BRINK
-else get Crysis 2 and don't camp.

Thanks to all for your opinions, Cheers. Any more would be greatly appreciated

Oh andBrink really svcks. Looks like Bad Company and Mirror's Edge made a baby.
You say that like its a bad thing.

I'd get Crysis 2 first if I were you. Brink is still a few months away from its release, so by then you might be able to get both.

Brink of course.

Campaign that moves between SP & MP, co-op, single play and team play. This is what you want if you're a team player. Crysis 2 only does it half as well, even if the campaign story is better (or not).

and that is bad how???

brink looks awesome, i would pick this over crysis 2 any day, why???
because crysis 2 is a dumbed down version of the first one, made to appeal to a larger audience by making it a call of duty clone where it take more bullets to kill someone

This quote is completely wrong. It SOUNDS like it's like CoD but its still different actually requires thinking while CoD is mostly based on spawn killing.

Brink will be good because it's entertaining and has a lot of customization - which, in itself is simply there to cover up the shallow, unintelligent story that requires you to make use of a new movement system (and I must ask who ACTUALLY gives a **** about a new movement system when it is the only innovation in a game?).

Crysis 2 will have an epic story, memorable characters, and be the best FPS experience ever made to date.

What was your question again?

I'm sure i will love Crysis 2 but BRINK looks so much better regarding community attention in gameplay aspects. I like the art design and the overall game mechanics promise that I will play this game aloooong time. I can imagine that C2 gets boring after 2-3 months.

I would say Crysis 2 if you like a grand single-player experience, otherwise BRINK is heaven for anyone that loves co-op and multi-player.

I was going to buy Brink, but I saw the gameplay, it looks like **** graphics. very cartoonish. i just don't like how the MP layout looks (I don't like the minimap on Crysis 2 either, but whatever :P)
