Crysis 2 campaign - Perfect..

Stop whining - Crysis 2 is an epic game, and it is more than just multiplayer.. Crytek and EA did a great job - nice graphics, nice story, nice gameplay, and lots of epic moments and explosions.. One of the best campaigns ever..

But I wanted a Benchmark game!!! That lacked any good gameplay! I just want dem grafics!!! I want a game with wide open empty ass areas! This game is such a CoD clone cause you can shoot stuff.../sarcasm

Game is amazing...PC players will whine at anything. Even if they got everything they wanted...they'll whine some more

I play it on PC btw before someone goes lols console gamer dont know crysis

I too loved the game. people expect too much from people. the game was great. I also hate how some reviewers said the story svcked but they have no right. Look at MW2, that was a crappy story. Crysis 2 was very deep and talked about things like transhumanism. This game was amazing!!!

EDIT: Mission 15

PC gamer too (-: if people are unhappy with the game, they can just return it (-: no problems there - Crysis isn't supposed to be Call of Duty or Halo or whatever.. It's Crysis - take it or leave it..

The game is very good. This coming from a person who built his current PC for Crysis 1 and played it to death. It's a worthy sequel. People who state otherwise are simply wrong.

Ending was **** tbh, it's obvious what the ending is trying to say "Hi we at EA and Crytek just want your money so wes gona end the campaign like this so when the 3rd crysis comes we got something to base it on, bye."

No, Im dissapointed on the crysis campaign. No story of what happend to nomad or phsyco , just jump straight into the aftermath of the begining of the alien invasion and then prophet dies right away. In crysis it ends with "We going to get him back" by that I mean when Nomad/Physco sais they are going to get prophet off the island (again), we didn't see ANY scene of that happening, they just skipt thrue half the story and just put you into a suit cause you are some random reinforcement soldier.

Would have been a pretty boring sequal if you played at the Lingshan Island again, as the same characters. Besides, you see Prophet a lot in Crysis 2 - it's basically his story too..

Crysis 2 is an awesome game. I am on my 4th campaign run and still loving it. Only very few other games allowed me to enjoy myself this much and enticed me to replay it so many times (Dead space 1 & 2, Halo CE and my alltime favorites ME 1 & 2).

CRYTEK you did an amazing job with Crysis 2's campaign (I do not play MP), do not let the whiners convince you otherwise.....ever.

I think this is a great game, even with the bugs i enjoyed the singleplayer and the multiplayer is the best multiplayer game i've played even with all the bugs and some frame rate issues, but i can look past all that because the gameplay is awsome.

It was already stated a long time ago that Crytek intends to make a Crysis trilogy.
Now, I'm not going to be an asshole and say that you're probably just stupid, but the story had plenty of interesting developments and back-stories that you had to actually use your brain to work through. There's even a long standing thread somewhere around here designed to bring people together to talk about the what ifs of the campaign.
If a story is deep and thought provoking enough to make people actually want to speculate on it, then I think Richard Morgan's done his job.

I too find it hilarious how reviewers say the story was lacking. The last time I played a first person shooter with a completely amazing story was...oh wait, never! Even Half-Life 2 which, relative to other games, had a great story wasn't anythin compared to a good novel or movie. If you want an amazing story, play third person adventure games like Uncharted or MGS4 since they allow for movie-style narration and cinematics. First person shooters are restricted because you either tell the story through the eyes of your main character, which is severly limiting because no one wants to sit through a million cutscenes of being talked to for the story to make sense, or you can break the immersion by having third person cut scenes that are more cinematic but ultimately remove the "you factor" of the character which is the essence of FPSs.

I thought Crysis 2 was done well. The only thing I would have done differently was make Alcatraz a non-silent protagonist. I felt a character in his position could have added a lot to the story if his emotions and confusion and even fears were integrated into the narration of the game. The silent protagonist is like the "wake up and realize it was all a dream" ending to stories. It's too cliche an an easy way out.

You play on the PC? That explains your whining about the PCers whining at everything.

1. The first couple of levels were boring and not well done.
2. Followed by more levels that didn't catch any interest.
3. Last third of the game was actually good because you could feel like a super soldier for the first time.

If you play on the lowest difficulty setting then yes you are a super soldier.. but enemies looking through walls (literally shooting the wall I am behind without having made contact prior just because you destealth) just to run in circles because they hit the AI-waypoint (AI is partially scripted by area) and then just add the arena like feeling of most encounters and you got yourself a standard shooter with better than standard graphics (for console games).

I did have fun playing the game but the harsh taste of console spoiled the gameplay (lol you at corner you must use this funny corner sticking now) over long periods and the AI leaves a weaker impression than the farcry AI.
Not a bad game but far from "amazing".

I like scripted movie like games that take you by the hand and don't give you tons of options (I also like mass effect which takes you by the hand but gives you tons of options) but crysis 1 was better scripted and had more epic moments of GAMEPLAY rather than sequences you watched in between the gameplay parts.

Why do we whine? Because a) we are used to "better" and b) Crytek promised better and most important c) they did not release sandbox3 with it which is a giant cockblock for PC players even though the sandbox is the exact tool they programmed the game with themselves, or so they claim. No reason to not release it.

You do know that Crysis 1 had great gameplay along with great story telling and the feeling of being right in there, right?
First off you did get to meet with people every now and then and you actually had the feeling of war and the need of your person instead of "oh look here is this suit guy.. well just chase him from A to B and back". Massively CoD like and thats not what we want from Crytek. If we want CoD like gameplay we play CoD. We wanted Crytek gameplay and we didn't get a lot of it.

One of the best campaigns ever.. Play Far Cry for the best campaign-experience.
This guy!

Farcry was shunned and laughed at. I actually don't understand why. Graphics were outstanding and the gameplay was beyond any competition. The difficulty between easy and hard was not only the amount of health you had but also how smart the AI was. While the story was pretty basic the orchestration was brilliant. There also were different types of enemies that had different types of AI.

I could go on WHY farcry is an outstanding example for an excellent FPS but just see for yourself (and I don't mean farcry2, that game was pretty boring for my taste, don't know why.. was very slow and the controls svcked.. oh it was a port xD).
I also recommend Crysis 1 to see why PC players are not so happy with Crysis 2.

The suit powers seem more like passive gimmicks only stealth gives you a real playstyle while you did not need that in Crysis 1 since you could hide in the bushes the enemies in Crysis 2 seem to have an aimbot to point at your direction without activated stealth. (hence the shooting of walls you are behind even if they did not make contact prior to de-cloaking)

I like the campaign too, but Crytek and EA did NOT do a good job because it is filled with game-breaking and annoying bugs.

Great ideas, but inferior workmanship.
