without preferring or anything, I often see people from this forum in the games I find. Wow.

yeah, it's kinda sad! hope the game will last though. i play quite often with or against the same people. it's cool to see how people improve their skills and such, but i'm a little concerned about the community. hope the patch brings people back to the game cause i love it and want to play it the next couple of months!

I'm a bit concerned about this...in the past few days I've noticed it takes longer to get a match going in 'crash site'...sitting in the lobby for 3-5 min. waiting for players to join.

I would like to enjoy this for another couple months aswell...just not sure the community will last that long :(

Is it that surprising that the community has shrunk so much? It's all Crytek's fault for taking over a month to release a patch that does something substantial for the XBox 360. On top of that they did not even bother to fix the grain glitch. Talk about baby steps. I'm sure most console players have already given up on this game and have moved on to other games I am sad to say. Oh well, back to waiting for the patch that fixes the grain glitch. :/

Yup, me too. Feels like the Dedication achievement sure is worth it's name.

There are 6 people on my friends list who own Crysis 2. Their combined playtime:

1. 01:15:37
2. 02:04
3. 01:41
4. 01:12
5. 00:28
6. 00:27
(I have 16:37)

I don't think it will help much if they were to fix dedicated servers and such. Some people might return or play more, but a lot of the player base has been lost completely.

on my friendlist are about 4 people who own it and just one of them plays it frequently. i'm on about 3 days and a couple of hours so far and i want to go on. sure you can blame crytek for not communicating enough with the playerbase and working fast enough on the issues, but there's something called patience goddamn! it seems like people don't know the meaning of this word nowadays.

That's why the community is so small now. It is because the only people left are the people that have been and are still being patient.

I can't say I've seen anybody from this forum in games, but I keep running into people that I recognise from hours before, after several re-partying sessions, or even from previous days!

There are some gamertags that you just remember, and I see them in games every few days!

It's quite worrying that it seems like so few people play the game, maybe Crytek have made up gamertags to make the leaderboards look busier?

Crysis 2 is dead already.

We've had a 'patch' and the Multiplayer Lag is still a joke.

Dedicated Servers Cryek / EA or this game will disappear for good.

The game is not dead, I can always find games and if I see the same people on there regularly then perhaps this in a indicator of playing the game too much.

I don't know anyone who owns it and when my friends asked me if it's worth buying, I was honest and said not yet and not for 60 bucks because the grain glitch ruins SP and the MP is fun but has horrible lag sometimes.

I think by the time Crytek fixes this game it will be too late, people will be on to other new releases.

We've already gathered that you are one of the few that don't get multiplayer lag, now move along please.

Killzone 3 - Works fine, hardly any lag.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 - Works fine, hardly any lag.

Homefront - Game has been PATCHED, Works fine, hardly any lag.

Halo Reach - Works fine, hardly any lag.

Crysis 2 - Does not work fine, regular lag.

O that's strange, Killzone 3, Homefront and Battlefield Bad Company 2 all use DEDICATED SERVERS = Nearly zero lag. Halo Reach does not, and it's not the lag fest that Crysis 2 is.

Just because you 'buddha' rarely get lag, it doesn't mean that the scores and scores of us cannot complain (with damn good reason) on here. We paid for this product, and it's a Lag Fest.

No, your fanboism is the joke. I don't mind you being reborn into the arms of crytek as their most outspoken fanboy but at least keep your replies rational. I've read probably 200 posts from you and they were all rational until you started taking up for crytek every little chance you got. Your arguments have gone from well thought out, rational arguments to just straight fanboy **** with no real meaning or factual content. You are simply attacking people now instead of debating with them.

Have you forgotten that this game had less players THREE WEEKS AGO than Halo3, Red dead redemption and gears2? Let me refresh your memory since your fanboism has blinded you. http://majornelson.com/2011/04/20/live-activity-for-week-of-april-11/

This was almost 3 weeks ago... With none of the problems being addressed, no communication from the developer, the "new car smell" wearing off and the lack of attention span of most gamers..... What do you think the activity report will look like for the next 7 days?

This community isn't dead... yet.. but with in one month, what do you think the xbox live activity report will look like? I doubt it'll be in the top20 and for a game that's only been out just over a month, that is pretty pathetic.

Stop jumping on people that have opinions that aren't "crytek is jesus." Does someone calling this game a joke seriously personally offend you to the point that you need to insult them in defense of crytek? Please.

Wow, you're really getting Homefront in this?

Man you guys need to calm the f*ck down and have either patience, or HELP Crytek solving these problems, which will help them to progress, either for the next game, or for further patches.

By The Way

I COME IN PEACE!!

We have had patience, they give us a 'patch' that hasn't even addressed half of the problems.

I'm not that bothered about the little campaign glitches, but when I play online, I'd like the experience to be as fluent as offerings such as Killzone 3, Battlefield, Homefront etc - and it's nowhere near.
