FAIR ? Are you serious ? I thought Crysis 2 was suppose to be just as good as Avatar or better. Now I am reading Nvidia classifies it as FAIR ?

I think it's because Crysis 2 3D feature seems to be completely built-in-game and nvidia's own solution has nothing to do with it.
This would be my guess, that is.

I gave it a brief try with nvidia Discover 3D and found nothing to complain about, though.

Some people called crysis 2's 3D 'fake' because it doesn't render 2 cameras - I haven't tested it though

The 3D isn't "true", but it's better than anything else.
1. Only a 1.5% performance hit
2. The screen becomes a window to the game world. Like the 3DS. This doesn't hurt your eyes.
3. There are no bugs
It still looks 3D, and that's what counts. The engine simulates what should happen without actually rendering the object twice.

To have 3D in Crysis 1, which was rated "good", you had to set shadows to medium, shaders to low, etc.
If you didn't do this there'd be bugs like double-vision of shadows, etc. This not good implementation.
So I wouldn't trust NVIDIA's ratings.

+1 I've tested the in-game 3D and it works flawlessly with almost no performance decrease. You do not need any third party drivers because it's all built in. Switch 3d on, turn on your glasses, move slider to 100%, and prepare to be awed by visual depth.
