Did you guys think that Crysis for console was good? What should've been put into the console version?I'm thinking multiplayer and sandbox, but what do you think?

it was awesome.....but

I do not play multiplayer....so no
I do not care about modding....so no to that too

I'd have liked something from, crysis 2.....like attachments that carry over, universal ammo crates, stealth kills, ledge grabbing

Multiplayer: Probably didn't run remotely well in testing. The maps were quite large and had 32 player matches. They could have just added the instant action on like steel mill for instance though. Could have been added I guess.

Sandbox: You're kidding, right?
The sandbox was development tools for creating mods and conversions of the game, coding script and the like.
It was basically for making games. You don't make games on consoles. A level editor wouldn't really be worth the trouble. People would end up crashing their Xbox or PS3 with all the **** they blow up.
@crimzon There was really no need for ledge grabbing in Crysis. Ammo crates made Crysis 2 too easy, and stealth kills can be done manually with simply using melee. And the attatchments carrying over thing was a little too easy anyways.

I don't think they should change anything. They ported it perfectly in my opinion. I own and have played the PC version many times, but I prefer the 360 version to the PC version. I couldn't be more satisfied with Crysis on console. I love the new suit controls. Much quicker with less to micromanage.

A long game with progression (especially if progression impacts the way you go about to play the game itself), to me, requires NG+ features or it is not worth the purchase (hence why I refuse to buy Dragon age 2 ). Ammo crates do not make the game easy, the quantity and distribution of ammo is still up to the devs and THEY decide how much to give you and how hard it is to obtain the ammo and thus how much you have to conserve them. Ammo crates allow you to keep the weapons you LIKE as opposed to other weapons that fall within the same role but you like less.

in other words the only thing that really changes is that you are using a weapon you do not like that much

think about Cerysis 2. Let's say there are no ammo crates, you can only pick up ammo from the fallen and specific ammo packs in general. Ok.....so, for entire levels you just swap the SCAR for the Feline or the SCARAB, pop a scope on them, add a silencer (and a tactical attachment if you want) and the game remains the same really since you are never gonna run out of ammo as you can keep picking up the ammo from the fallen's weapons....the only difference is that you are bummed because you cannot use your favorite weapon.

Ledge grabs and stealth kills were for fun really, I mean I am not really bummed they are not implemented.......well.........ledge grab was nice actually in the sense that it helped with some of the verticality making it easier.

Micro-manage...As in holding a button and flicking in a direction??

That's why I took the necassary time to write "micro" in there.

Crysis PC=Requires holding of button plus selecting suit mode with mouse while strength abilities are only available when specifically in strength mode

Crysis XBox360=Requires pressing of button only to activate any suit mode with strength jump available in any mode

Crysis XBox360=less to "micro"-manage because of one-click suit activation and strength jump always available

It's not rocket science.

Anything else?

I just thought the term micromanage made the original suit functions sound more complex than they are

The original suit controls weren't rocket science either, and allowed more control over you're energy use.

Selecting a rocket launcher, grenades and pistols is very fast in the console version. Much more user friendly than i thought it would be. Selecting suit modes would have been just as easy using the same method, and it would have better reflected the original game. However it wouldn't have facilitated the sale of more copies of Crysis 2, which is the main objective of crytek for releasing this remastered version.

But if you like the new function better thats fine i guess. I just can't recall anyone else who has played the originals who actually prefers the new suit controls, other than you.

That's cool. I don't mind being the one PC/console gamer that prefers the console version. To each his own.

Yeah, I didn't mean that PC version is unmanagable. Obviously, it's pretty straight forward and simple. I just find the console controls to be more simple and in my opinion better.

Forgive my "rocket science" comment. I didn't mean that in any insulting way.

Yeah I have it on PS3 and I feel the same way, I couldn't have been happier with how the original Crysis is on consoles. Now bring us the console version of Crysis Warhead!
