Crysis 3 Crashing Thread

Post » Mon Feb 25, 2013 12:10 am

I feel like the multiple crashing issues that many players are having with both single player and multiplayer will be better addressed and communicated if we have a central thread that everyone can post their issue instead of hundreds of different threads with the same problems.
I myself have random crashes while playing, and then once the game crashes during gameplay, it crashes on startup until I restart the computer. I have tried the various solutions suggested on this forum and none of them work for more than 20-30 minutes of play.
As a reference here are my specs:
i52500k@4.3GHz
8GB DDR3 GSKILL RAM@1600
Geforce GTX680
1000W Coolermaster Pro PSU
Windows 8 Pro 64-Bit
On every crash I get two messages. One says "Crysis 3" has stopped working" and the other says "DXGI ERROR DEVICE REMOVED"
Here are some things I have tried to solve this:
I have rolled back all my overclocks on both my CPU and my GPU
I have rolled back my drivers
I have lowered my settings
I have rebooted my computer(works temporary)

Crytek aren't seriously thinking that we will purchase the game with all these crashes, right? They were in the beta, but they are apparently in the full release game.

How will I play Multiplayer, when it will crash every 5-10 minutes like in the Beta?

P.S
My crash was the driver crash and the DXGI_DEVICE_REMOVED error.

Agreed farmy. I've never messed with my drivers and many are using different versions so that dosen't seem to be the issue. I'm getting the generic "crysis 3 has stopped message" on startup most times and had the device removed message only twice. I have to reboot numerous times to finally get it to launch.
