Crysis 2 is now available and we want to let our PC fans know that we have a Day 1 patch ready to go. Thanks to your feedback, we have fixed and/or modified the following:

· Server Browser shows incorrect pings - Fixed
· Some matches never initiate - Fixed
· Faster text chat - As speedy as can be
· Console re-enabled - Console has been re-activated
· Cheat detection - Now in place to ensure all users are on a level playing field
· Fix USB headset issues – Current issues have been addressed and fixed
· Fix hologram icon staying on screen after being used - Fixed
· Remove Auto Aim - This has now been completely removed due to overwhelming community feedback

The patch will auto-download when you start Crysis 2 on the PC. We look forward to seeing you all online!

Well the first 2 certainly aren't fixed. I see servers in the list that show a 1000 ping but when I join I see my ping as being much much lower. As far as the second 90% or more of the ranked servers refuse to start. The only one I found that did had the same playlist as the demo servers (Skyline and Pier 17 alternating between Team Instant Action and Crash Site). This really needs to get fixed since it's almost impossible to gain ranks in MP.

Going multi-platform is one thing but to mess up an entire platform to support another platform is another thing. Crytek seriously messed up PC version to support consoles out there, I mean no graphic options, no DX 11 support, nanosuit controls messed up WTH Crytek ?

You think you impressed us with this sh*t console port ? I mean there is nothing in PC version that can actually make us happy, the only thing which is good is that the game looks better on PC but I will give you small credit for it because almost all games look better on PC due to superior technology the PC has.

If you are not giving us anything better than atleast give us something equal to Crysis 1. I wasted my 60$ on this sh*tty console port, I am done with your games now, just make an official announcement that you are a console developer now, stop pretending that you still support PC community.

Well I had the serial code issue and solved that, a little problem with login, solved that, still have the strict nat issue (doesn't seem to affect anything) been up and running most of the day having a ball playing Crysis 2 online (which there seems to be thousands of other people playing on hundreds of servers) and single player, which really rocks. Almost every game I've bought the past few years have had issues, as most the people with issues have also drastically increased. I've learned a long time ago you arer either part of the problem, or part of the solution. Most of you out there doing the flaming sound like part of the problem and offer no real solutions.
I'm just so glad I don't have the problems many of you have, cause it will take much more than the skills of a game developer to solve them.....lol.

P.S. Don't even bother to post a ranting demeaning response because I'll be too busy playing the game...Muhahahahaha.

Still that doesn't mean the game is not degraded to support consolers out there. If and only if you play Crysis 1 properly you'll be able to point out the difference and see how much they changed the game. And yeah I would love to see you solve DX11 problem lol. The problems you mentioned are the problems related to your game only while I am talking about general problems related to Crysis 2 which are affecting everyone.

The people who have DX11 hardware will certainly dislike the fact that this game is actually DX9 when they promised it to be DX11. Enjoy your DX9 visuals because thats the best you and me are getting thanks to consoles.

^Uhm, no? Us console gamers are every bit as devout as you are; some of us just don't go throwing our money down the drain by investing on ridiculously expensive hardware that needs to be updated every two years.

That's quite amazing. I paid £590 for my PC almost 3 years ago, I have not had to upgrade it at all, nada, nothing. Plays all games maxed out 40 - 60fps with all the bells and whistles on. Though my Crysis custom config runs at 35.

You console gamers should really stop using this as an excuse.. especially when the 360 and PS3 launched at almost £400 in England! For hardware I wouldn't even use to browse the web :D

(I haven't actually played the game as I am Australian and the store doesn't put it on their shelves for another 10+ hours.) I would just like to add that I am hoping there is an inclusion of DX11 in a later update. I was very impressed when I played Crysis 1 and upgraded a PC to use DX10, and I would love to see that again here. ty.

Alot of gamers have pretty high end machines like Im getting the 6990 card very soon. From what ive read on many sites the visuals are not like crysis 1 was for its time. It is so wrong the PC version has been ###### because the 6yr old joke consoles. This is massive wake up call for pc gamers. We shouldn't have to put up with this BS!! Tell us from the start you plan on making a slapped up PC port. We wont bleeding edge visuals & you cant get that with multi pathetic platform.

Well I was finally able to log into this site, so SOMEBODY must be doing their job! It's day 2.....I've had Crysis 2 for over 24 hours now, and I've only played it for half an hour. I've had all sorts of problems with this thing, and only ONE of them has been resolve (the one I care least about). I've done a successful install (twice) and although I was able to play the game (campaign) for a little bit yesterday, when I went to bed and woke up later, It's now unfunctional AGAIN!!! When I click the Crysis 2 Icon, I get the symbol indicating that the computer is processing the action, and then NOTHING HAPPENS!!! So basically I can't play the game. In addition, I still can't retrieve my LE content, meaning that even if I COULD play the game, I wouldn't be playing multiplayer :( (which is why I bought the game).

This incident has caused me to lose a LOT of faith in Crytek....especially as a PC gamer, because everyone with a console is happy, whereas the TRUE GAMERS (PC FTW), get the SHAFT! I basically paid $60 for a major headache and serveral hours of frustrating troubleshooting and time spent on the phone with customer support! Which, btw, they gave me $20 credit to EA store since I couldn't access my LE content, which to me, was their way of saying, "Yeah we know our game svcks...it doesn't work, why don't you play something else in the meantime, while we pull our heads out of our asses!"

I don't mean to troll here, but c'mon, WTF are you guys doing? Can I get an ETA on the next patch, cause I'm ready to NERD RAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess everyone at Cryrek must be to busy counting the money they got from all of us yesterday. Because I haven't seen a single crytek sraff member come on here and address these issues and AT LEAST give us an ETA when everything will be fixed. Not hard for one guy to take 5 mins to respond to THOUSANDS of angry people with one single thread.....

Yes I think someone mentioned that in previous pages, you'll get a false alert after patch. You have to ignore it.

I've Download game from EADM and u know patch won't install cause it says "can't locate Game Please Re-Install"

I've re-download and install (automatically) 2 times = =

So Now I just can play Single Player (run via Crysis2.exe)

I Want Multi-Player that requires Patch update

Couldn't you just have patch installed manually way?

such as put it on this site and make patch installer smart enough to know where my game is

Just want Manual Patch anyway or if u find another solution just make a thread

In response to the virus notifications.....alot of people are experiencing this. When I spoke to tech support yesterday, the techie said it was a widespread problem. In my case AVG detects the patch as a virus threat, so I had to temporarily disable my security to get it to lauch (that one time it miraculously worked!).

And....I just received my copy of crysis 2 today..
I wrote down the serial and I get the message "this product will be available after 24.03.2011

This actually seems like good news to me, as it suggests a possible ETA for us PC users! Only time will tell I guess.

Btw, I still can't even get Crysis 2 to open....so when you guys at Crytek get over your hangovers, please drop us a line, so we know you care! :P

In an attempt to be "a part of the solution", I wanted to let everyone know that I just got off the phone with tech support and the official operating procedure is to keep checking back in the "Help&Support" section and wait for a new patch to appear....... yawn!
