Crysis 2 ... Dead after 2 months ?

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 12:45 pm

Hello everyone,

Like any good FPS player, I bought Crysis 2-otherwise, why would I be here? - I loved the solo, a mix between action and tactical thinking, Crytek has managed to satisfy me and I thank them :)

But as of today I am disappointed in one respect, I conducted a search party in multiplayer mode last night and after 10 minutes, no party presented ... Why no more party does this?

Two, why not give Xbox gamers, and PS3 at the same time, the ability to create maps for Crysis 2? Halo Reach was built using the Forge mode, very good although a bit light in terms of opportunities, so why not create a sandbox for the console versions and let us know what show do?

Sorry for my broken English: (

FarCry 2 and FarCry Instincts Predator both have amazing map editors where you can let your creativity and imagination run wild, if that is what you're looking for then I suggest you look into purchasing either or both those games.

As for an editor/sandbox in Crysis, I can almost guarantee that it will never happen. You shouldn't get your hopes up.

I know it's impossible in consoles ...

In terms of multiplayer games, everything came from my game disc which had some traces and prevented access to the parties ... : s

On the subject of not finding matches, I never have that problem. I've been playing Crysis 2 a lot lately and I never have an issue finding a match.

Maybe it's the time? I usually don't play late at night.

If Crytek support the game, Fix Issues, DLC & Possible Add-On maybe they removed because it didn't make the final cut. the game will have 1-2 year Life Span maybe more.

In the end it's all up too Crytek and their decisions they make

Actually putting in a Sandbox mode would ruin the game; the online maps do NOT have the size and customisational layouts for much change, the most you could do would be to add a few weapon spawns, change a few movable objects and that be it. Not just that, but a sandbox mode would be too big to distribute via DLC or an Addon and would have to come on a stand-alone disc therefore people having to pay out yet more money for something they won't really use. Sandbox is good on pc, it hosts a range of different things, different menus, buttons etc, xbox doesn't have enough buttons to support the variety of changes accessible.

Most importantly, sandbox is boring; it's fun for 10 minutes, but nobody wants to spend 2 years+ in sandbox... It won't succeed, it hasn't succeeded on a console for long and will never... Purely because customisation is minimal on Xbox's; the only reason Forge on Halo 3 survived was because it was an overrated game, and not just that, it wasn't really sandbox now was it? You could change a few spawns, and implement a couple objects. True sandbox is where you can built entire cities, ie - Garrys mod for PC. That would be more suitable for what you're asking.
