HDD speed has no impact on frame-rate, it just loads the game quicker. Loading time has been greatly increased because of having to load the high resolution textures and possibly DX11 resources.

It is about SSDs, but stay with me. The article points out that during gameplay tons of writes are made to the HDD. So if you were to have a RAID 0 configuration, that would increase your write mb/s, giving you a frame boost. How significant that frame boost is, is unknown to me, however.
That link doesn't disprove what I said and the HDD doesn't drive the graphics. The only effect it would have is if you ran out of memory and it paged the HDD, so a faster HDD would reduce stuttering.
