@Spadde

Wish I had your confidence, but IMO this is a real possability but not a certainty possibly not even a likelihood.

Remember with Cryengine 3 they can edit each version at the one time and they said they have no lead version.
While we already have some awesome DX11 effects in other games even if the quality bar of those games is not maintained all the way through. There are some awesome scenes and subterranean levels in Metro 2033, great looking undulating terrains in Hawx2, and incredible looking bosses in Lost Planet 2. The warrior aliens and lighting in AVP are pretty cool as well but you need to force a setting ambient occlusion as I recall in control panel for AVP.

Not to mention the upcoming Shogun 2 which has an absolutely ridiculous level of detail for an RTS game. And some of the other FPS already out or on the way B4 Crysis 2. Then after that Mass Effect 3.

Personally I think the bar is higher than you probably realize and that Crytek are more console focused on this outing than you realize.

I am impressed by the work that has gone into this it's always amazing. Huge props to the guys who did the graphics it takes uber levels of skill to do that and the less polygons you have to work with the harder it is. So from that perspective well done everybody at Crytek!

However I am not going to pre-order based on this it is cam footage it isn't official and it's DX10 (my card is a high end DX11 card and even if it wasn't I'd expect to upgrade to DX11 at some point) and it looks nearly identical to the 360 versions to me. It looks faster but that may just be because he's using a mouse.

Thinking about swapping out my dual core for a quad core and crossfiring my HD 5750. Would be nice to refresh my PC for 2011.

Also I RLY need to know if the plants in the greenhouse are sprites like in the 360 version I saw (hopefully this was an early 360 version and this is corrected even for console gamers). You know what I mean were the plants are flat and they follow you around the room like the eyes on a painting. I can't freaking stand that. It was bad enough in 2010 but if it carries on in 2011 it will be ridiculous!

Also in Lost Planet sometimes u can get the camera over head and all the grass dissapears cos it only track by rotation in the Z axis and is all flat and facing the same way so you just see the edge of a flat poly sprite or whatever u call it. Then again if it tracked the camera overhead it would be ROFL funny. Anyway what I'm trying to say is no flat cardboard cut out grass or plants that rotate to the view pls. none! Anywhere ever! Especially in crysis games and especially on PC!

No grass is better than gay grass.

I think that a good multiplayer demo should have atleast 2 maps, 1 large and 1 small so that people can see how the spawn system and all that stuff works.

^ They said they wouldn't be using that system due to the very unpopular reception.
Also, Crytek is a sensible company - they wouldn't murder their mod-base like IW did.

Also, remember into the past (like.... 2006 I guess). They didn't make announcements like "X game will have dedicated servers" because it was given that the PC version would. There's basically one or two games out there that DON'T have dedi, and they only survived on the fact that they were part of a massive series everyone played anyway.

And even then they got crap reviews on PC.

True, but no info at all. What about renting a ranked server then?

I beat it on delta YEARS ago
Then I made a custom config that gave the AI a 1/100th of a second reaction time (its included in CCC config pack)
Then I beat that with only a pistol

Waiting for the demo to come
Wishing I had it in my hands
This is not what I had planned
It's out of my control....

Crying for the demo isn't right
Thoughts are spinning in my head
The demo release date is still unsaid
It's hard to let it go...
