Crysis 2 PC Demo Announced!

Post » Mon Mar 30, 2009 2:26 pm

The only 'useful' post in this thread was the first one, everything else is just spam, what do you expect when you release an announcement and nothing else is posted in 2 weeks? o.o
This exactly.

everybody calm down and be happy that crysis 2 is coming in the first place
That's the spirit! :)

although it would be great with a "real" update ^^
It's in progress, just check two pages back by Cry-Tom :)

Direct link to Crytek?
I get he's likely under NDA, just he could come up with a more creative manner lol.
He's trying the best he can, it's just a bit sensitive to discuss certain aspects of their game and hard to release information that might jeoporadize everything they struggled to accomplish. Give him a break .
A little overboard don't you think?

Somewhat true, but all good things come to those who wait... ;)

Duke Nuken Forever was in progress.......
"In progress" means, "We're not telling you, because we don't know, because it's not ready".
I.E, the PC demo was a last minute thought, not like the Xbox 360 demo... The evidence is in the lack of details.

I heard that "near future" statement before ^^

I don't know when the near future is but when it finally arrives nobodies gonna have time to play all these games.

How about a new screenshot?

Not so much, it's actually a copy from one of their posts back August 2010... ;). It's the truth.

It was a slight fiasco, though.... but, yes. It was in the details of info at the time.

A little enthusiasm never hurts, but being too much of something lesser can act as poison in the longer run ;)

Yeah I know.I am annoyed because, they announced the X360 demo on 21st Of Jan and the demo went live on 25th.They announced the PC demo on 28th Jan and still there is no news about it.Not even a whisper. If the demo wasnt ready because they were fixing bugs, they could have waited untill it was rectified and then announce the demo.I know its pointless in me arguing about this,But it pisses me to no extent.ATLEAST THEY SHOULD HAVE RELEASED THE CRYSIS:LEGION NOVEL.That would have calmed things around.

Possibly..
We'll see, I only want the demo to launch to see how my PC will cope with it.

That's more my point.
The PC demo is an afterthought...
Or, Crytek didn't want another Crysis 1 charade with performance.
Even then, the minimum spec doesn't make sense.

Now that's a bit extreme, but yeah. For Crysis 2 on the Pc.

Yes,but anouncing the PC demo even before it was ready and making us wait?I feel like the X360 dudes are laughing at us right now.

There is another thread for such discussions, the Min. System requirements Thread?

And that thread's full of people who don't know anything about hardware.

The 6870's aren't extreme at all..
I did a review of 5870 Crossfire a while back.. At one point I had 3 5870's, I've had a 5970..

I could have gotten two 6970's, but my Watercooling set up was very expensive.

There's no discussion as there's nothing to say.
No information.. It's just "Wait till it's out"....

Like I said, anything we use as feedback won't make it into the launch of Crysis 2. More than likely the first patch.
