Crysis 2 PC Demo Announced!

Post » Sat Mar 28, 2009 12:46 pm

At least crytek have gone out of their way to make an engine which pushes the pc platform too :) Most companies just use the UE3 engine!

Considering that the 360 is running crysis 2 on medium, 720p @ 30fps, we've got a treat in store for PC :)

I AM APPALLED that you guys are leaving out the PS3 demo... you claim PS3 is more powerful, CryEngine looks better on it, but you leave it out?

Sorry to tell you dude, but they have claim the PS3 version is the worst. But the good news is that PS3 and Xbox360 pretty much have the same performance on Crysis 2. PC still the most powerful tool to play video games, and it doesn't matter which one, even though most of the people still using console.

My point was, the developers are likely dealing with framerate issues on BOTH PC and XBox/ and consoles ... yes, obviously consoles have the hardest time running games b/c of the weaker hardware, but PC WILL ALSO!

We'll see in time! Looking forward to the PC Demo...

Thx

Will be interesting to see the PC version considering that the xbox version was only medium (with quite a lot of sub-low settings) :)

Please !!! It' s already been 3 days since pc demo has been announced, can we just have some more news ?
Like hummm ... release date ?

We all seeing people playing it on . . . "Xbox", while we wait with pcs we bought for crysis 1 & warhead. Maybe i shouldn't have bought a PC and crysis 3 years ago, but an xbox and Call of duty games instead ?
Sorry but it's really painfull to wait, even more when dudes who didn't bought ANY crytek game ( only pc gamers bought farcry, crysis 1 & warhead, am i wrong ?) enjoying an exclusive demo.

Just please bring it soon to ur fuucking fanboys who followed u since farcry, don t wait 3days before game release !!!

edit : oh i forgot, there was already a crytek game on console . . . Farcry Instinct

Trouble with Steam is if you have 3 people who play the same game, so only 1 can play at a time even if the person is playing Singleplayer so Steam is really only good if your the only person playing.

WTF??? Are you for real?
Only 1 person can be playing at any time, so how you manage to play 3 at the same time on the same computer???
Also, the game is sold by computer/console, not by amount of computers/consoles you have within your house, so every copy is meant for 1 computer/console, not 3 at the same time.
So, using Steam or if you bought it on a store, you can install it on 1 computer and play it from there, not on multiple computers so many people can play it. You can't "share" your copy of the game.
If 3 people have a computer each, then you have to buy 3 copies of the game if all of you play the game at the same time on the 3 computers. It's not clear to me if you are allowed to install the game over more than 1 computer that only you use.

So, Steam is the best way because you can have the game installed on any computer you own and use just accessing your Steam account.

Yeah u can have it installed on all computers but only one of you can be using the Steam Account at the one time so the 2 other people cant play it.

Why are so many people complaining about the lag
it's just a demo to give you a little taste of the game
i would rather them spend there time polishing the real game
and there not gonna waste there money on the best servers for a demo
so lets hope they have noticed these problems and fix them for the full game
CANT WAIT!!!
