Crysis 2 PC Demo Announced!

Post » Sun Mar 29, 2009 2:15 pm

Hey, how well do you guys guess a gtx 460 would run it. Currently I also have a meezly 2gb ram 103mhz, but I'll be upgrading to 4 soon

It should be decent when you upgrade your RAM however if you haven't bought the video card yet, maybe you could go for a 5770.

Basically the 8800GT and the 9800GT are the same and they both defeat the 9500GT.

Hmm GTX 295?

Unfortunately I fear for you if you only have a DX10 card. Escalators, tyres and other round objects may look slightly hexagonal if you stop to zoom in and examine them carefully. Even worse I will pwn you from afar with a sniper rifle whenever you break cover in order to do so. "Acerimmer1" remember I told you that!

Seriously though I heard at Eurogamer they ran the game on GTX470 and that they are explicitly mentioning Crysis two on the back of the box for the new GTX560ti which benchmarks almost exactly the same as a 470. So hopefully my 480 is gonna get a workout from something besides a benchmark sooner than expected.

Yes

But i am more into the 500 series than the 6000 series. NVIDIA's cards are VERY nice thise time around.

Question should be, a GTX560 or a GTX 570

Whoa..the GTX 460 is far better than a Radeon 5770. The GTX 460 performs close to a Radeon 5850, the 1GB version actually performs better.

The Radeon 5770 is around the level of a GTS 450.

yeah i thought about 5770/GTX460, if the gtx460 will max it out i'm going with it, but if it's not i'll buy the 5770...
i just want a mainstream dx11 card, what do you say?

The GTX 460 is way better than a Radeon 5770. the GTX 460 performs like a Radeon 5850. The GTS 450 is more 5770 level.

Ahh sorry guys. I confused the GTS 460 with the GTX 450.

Yeah, I have the 5770 and I get great performance and visuals on Crysis 1 without any problems.

Still no Pc demo from the looks of things, Sp demo possibilities still clouded till now and no new announcement so far. Must take a lot of time before releasing that demo into the community, though best of luck Crytek :)

I dont think they will reveal a SP demo, MP demo and SP demo would be asking to much
