Crysis 2 DX11 CONFIRMED! No date, but it's there!

Post » Thu Jun 02, 2011 10:35 pm

http://www.crymod.com/thread.php?postid=782962#post782962

That's the post where a Crytek representative clearly states "PC-specific graphic features - Features such as DX11 aren't generally featured in console ports because the consoles don't support them. Crysis 2 will feature DX11."
posted today!

It's there! Just don't know exactly when yet, but it's gonna be awesome when we get to see it.

It's at least nice to know we definitely are getting Directx 11, hopefully it makes some significant changes in visual quality

Only the absolute retards still argue that the game won't have DX11. The question never was if it's gonna have it, it's when.

They are probably taking their time to integrate it properly. People could either have half-assed Dx11 Effects, or wait for some more time to get stunning effects.

It's true. But unfortunately, based on the amount of information Crytek gives about pretty much anything I doubt that they will ever tell us when we can expect it.

This should be stickied. I'm still not going to be happy if I do end up buying the game tomorrow (My preorder has been canceled, but that doesn't mean I won't buy the game) and a patch is not released with DX11 during the same day. Retail has been confirmed to not have DX11 in the box. At least a patch is confirmed.

Personally, I was a little confused. All the flaming goin on made me think maybe Crytek backed out of DX11, yet I kept the faith. This just at least eases my mind hearing it now from someone at Crytek. I don't really care how long it takes <--- retract that! As long as it's not another few months, I can wait for DX11 without pulling my hair out. lol.

We should have had an annoucement by now labelled as "coming soon" back in the beginning of the month. Tomorrow will be the day 1 patch with minor stuff added onto it and people are gonna rage when they don't see DX11 in the patch notes, let's hope THAT will force Crytek to come out and tell us anything at all. Leaving us in the dark is even worst than saying DX11 will come late. But after the amount of cancelled pre-orders and still no word from the, I doubt it's that that's gonna compell them to say anything.

yes, i`m agree that - need more time to adapt the game for dx11 for more look better graphics.
crytek may to delay PC version like Rokstar and others - but they don`t DO THIS! it`s 22 march for all platform. and thats good.
i will buy and complete that game, and when will be patch dx11 - complete this game another time.

ps: sorry my english

Haha, Pure trolling.

Buy why didn't crytek make an official announcement about this? I'm pretty sure they lost some thousands of preorderers...

Well, if DX11 gets implimented properly and those who cancelled their pre orders find that out... Guess who's gonna go get Crysis 2? The thousands of preorder cancellers.

I'm sticking with my gut opinion on this... Crytek has been hush-hush about DX11 because when it's ready it's going to have everyone's jaw on the floor. No need to hype it up, it's just going to be that good, and that will lead to a spike in sales. Screw preorders, I'm talking about real deal sales!

Don't make me put my foot in my mouth Crytek! lol.

But it's great when a good game looks GREAT too!

I agree with you though, that's why I just preordered my PS3 version along with the PC version I preordered back before Christmas. Gotta get down with the gameplay while I wait on the DX11 looks.

Yeah you could read it everywhere. But people like **** sheeps and they do what other sheeps do, run in one direction. Nathan Camarillo said there will be DX11 but there will also be a official announcement.

For this specific game looking good is extremely important. Possibly the most important thing about the game. If you're calling yourself the sequel to the most graphically advanced game in the world, you better look better by quite a bit.

True. Although, I could never max Crysis 1 on my pathetic 5770...

The point is not to max out at the very beginning, it is to get the best of what your hardware can deal !

Couldn't either max it back then with my 8800gtx, then my gtx275, now my gtx 570. And at each time I have the feeling of rediscovering the game and have a different feeling.

That's in my opinion what made this franchise last so long with so few releases, and why it made it popular. Otherwise it would be any other FPS on the market, wich I hope crysis 2 won't be part of.

Yep and when did a console gamer ever have even the possibility of a sequel looking worse than the 1st game. They are spoiled with how developers use their hardware, it just so happens their hardware is freaking old.
