Crysis 2 DX11 - How to disable tessellation.

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 11:58 pm

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know how to disable tessellation? I need to test Crysis 2 regarding GTX500-series cards that suffers from crash if they are factory overclocked. :) My findings so far are that disabling tessellation solves the problem. Just need to be sure. :)

I know that disabling DX11 also disables tessellation. I want DX11 on without tessellation. ;-)

No, you can use DX11.

You can run everything on ultra, except objects, which must be set to extreme and not ultra.

sys_spec_objectdetail = 3

This will disable POM as well, unfortunately.

Seems that things have changed a bit. I tried out the 270.61 drivers and I have no crash with Unigine Heaven running in DX11, Tess enabled and 8xaa. Will test Crysis 2 with these drivers later. Seems they are the only drivers that does not crash my GTX570 on stock voltage when running DX11. :)

Thanks for your help anyway. :)
