Just wanted to know what you guys/girls think is better?

I just finished farcy 3 bout a day before crysis 3 came out and I'm afraid to say I believe that far cry 3 is a lot better.
Just something about it makes me like far cry a lot more, I've played both the series since they came out long time ago and felt always competing on graphics.

Both games are good but graphics I found far cry was just that little bit better, main thing I noticed was, when I play these I'm stealthy not gun ho if I want to do that I'll carry on with cod, and you hide in grass and foliage a lot when stealthy and to me I find the grass in crysis 3 abit poo, where as farcy it looks awesome. Scenery in the distance crysis looks really good and far cry it looks good also but again I feel far cry pulled it off better mabe just because it was tropic islands I dunno lol.
I've run both games at very high settings aswell.

Overall game play completely different I know but farcy felt better and more exiting and fun free roaming idea like dead island was awesome do what you want not, you must go here and do this come on chop chop.

Must admit tho the bow in crysis 3 looks way better then in far cry even tho it's a more futuristic one.

What do you peeps think?

Kind of agree,since FC3 is the first ubisoft game i bought in a couple of years.Yeah i know,Ubi svcks,but the particular game was worth Buying imo

The engine tech might be older but they make a much prettier scenery with it.Also the SP has a jungle tribal vibe,which Crysis started with but abandoned

Also the movement and shooting is smoother for a reason and everything more responsive

And don't forget it's actually open world instead of a path.

Oh,and multiplayer is actually fun and has original modes,AND there's COOP


But the hitreg svcks too pretty much.IDK what's going on with modern games and hitreg

You can't compare them, they are completely different

Far Cry was developed and created in the first place by Crytek so we have them to thank for FC3 because if they hadn't of created it there would be no FC3 for us to play.

I'm not saying I'm laughing at you right now, but if I had to summarize my reaction with a picture:

Far Cry 3 looks pretty due to cheap console specific features, meant to hide something ugly. No doubt CryEngine 3 is alot more advanced.

Compare CryEngine 2 dynamic flora with Far Cry 3 static trees. 2007 vs 2013. PC vs console....
