I think this game has lots of potential. It looks to be fun to play. I bought this game the day it was released and i have yet to be able to play it. the game will install but it wont launch. I'm sure there are other bugs to be worked out, but i would LOVE to be able to just install the game and run it. It is unacceptable that i pay for a game that I can't play. I tried to give EA customer support but they were less then helpful.

The only thing worse than idiots who complain and whine about the smallest and most insignificant of things in a release are those who excuse significant and pertinent ones and insinuate that other paying consumers and customers should just accept anything the way it is and not provide feedback in return for their cash. Truly an ignorant view.

Totally agree. The idiots that keep defending Crytek need to STOP READING THIS FORUM. Go find a forum focused on praising Crytek if you want.

Another disgruntled buyer here any fixes for the "you have lost connection to host" yet. I have had this game a day before it was released i have overcome the duplicate key message and key not recognised errors but every multiplayer session i play in i get you have lost connection to host i have yet to play a whole map : ( i have ports open/ dmz on; graphics turned up/down) I think my system can handle it (p8p67. i7 2600 sandybridge @ 3.4g, Gainward 480gtx gpu) 2x velociraptors in raid) and to top it off i am on cablefiber 50 meg broadband with 1.6meg upload. I set my expectations too high for this game i think cos i am so hacked off with these kinda things happining from mw2; blops (seems to have fixed since new map packs) and now crysis2. I am in a fooking crysis cos i paid money for a game to try and get my clan involved again and i thought this might be it hell was i wrong back to blops and bfbc2/ 3 when thats out. what gets me is i have only reached level 6 (god only knows how). All i ask is when/if/are the dev team working on these issus so my broken willpower can rest in peace.

please..................................help..................................

I just got a tweet from 'Crysis' that was removed within a minute for some reason so I can't post exactly what it said, but here is the link:
http://www.ea.com/crysis-2/blog/pc-patch-coming-soon

It's nothing groundbreaking but at least it's something; no fixes for the major issues we all have though. Why can't more companies be like Valve.

Edit: It looks like they have already taken that down too 'Shakes head'. Sorry guys.
The updates included little things like fixes for text and voice chat and a toggle for crouch; none of the big stuff. It did state that it would go live in the next few hours automatically when loading the game.
After taking all the posts away I don't know what they are playing at though.

Maybe they used the leak beta to flush out pirate users?

As soon as you post a message with your gamesas account bang they have your IP address (proxied if you are a smart pirate). If you haven't gone through the activation process, but played MP and posted a message in this forum I would say you have just given Crytek a fair ammount of information.

Keep playing and posting pirates.

Where the H-- is the problem with "Nano Catylist disappearing" on the list of problems. I know there are a lot of multiplayer problems that probably take priority but it seems to me the Nano loss issue is the biggest single player issue and it doesn't seem EA/Crytek have even recognized its a problem. Its not in the list at the begining of this thread - possibly somewhere else but I don't want to read I want to play the game and this Nans issue makes it a waste to play until its fixed. Is there anyone that is NOT HAVING this problem??

Quick Save!

I hate savepoints - but I probably will abandon this game (and Crytek for that matter) by the time any of this is fixed.

I've also noticed a bug, where sometimes during frenetic, up close action I get stuck in the nano suit interface a no amount of clicking will get me out. I think it's tied to the energy meter running out, but I don't know. So what happens is I have to wait to die, then go back to some "save" 10 minutes earlier & play the whole section again. F U C K T H A T.

For those of you waiting for DirectX11...check out this link: http://www.evga.com/articles/00622/

"allowing you to discover incredibly detailed DirectX 11 worlds with tessellation" - as long as you're not playing Crysis 2...the game this package is based on.

FAILED TO LOG IN - MULTIPLAYER

OK I have waited patiently for Crytek to fix this issue or EVEN TO COMMENT on it other than "we are aware of this issue" before posting anything but enough is enough!!! I'm so fed up of being told I have a network error by the stupid in-game window when I try to log in.

My gamesas account works, I can log in here no problem, but try it in the game and I might aswell be hitting my head against the wall.

Things I have tried to be able to log in -

TURN MY ENTIRE FIREWALL + AV OFF
create fake account with made-up nonexistant email - this worked... WTF!?? (but then these details wouldnt work 2nd time round!!)
create a NEW EMAIL ADDRESS to sign in with.... come on guys seriously, you shouldnt be forcing players to resort to crap like that just to log on to a game!
have my friend who can log in on his account to try to log in on his pc with my details (rule out hardware / router issues) - no joy
create a fake account AGAIN and use a made up GAME SERIAL NUMBER to register my copy of the game with - IT ACCEPTED THE MADE UP CODE!! i mean come on what the hell kind of fubar authentication system are you guys running that a game key i just invented off the top of my head is accepted!!???
I have tried all other manner of retarded things like using names and passwords without capitals, without letters, without special characters, and all combinations of these things.

SERIOUSLY YOU KNEW ABOUT THIS ISSUE AT THE DEMO!!!! HOW COULD YOU NOT FIX IT IN THIS TIME????

I am sure most people would agree that they would prefer to have a game at launch that is a polished, bug free and proven to be working game in its entirety rather than this annoying frustrating broken failure of a multiplayer.

dont get me wrong i lvoe the game the single player is fantastic and looks brilliant, i think you've made a great single player game from what i've seen so far. which is why its ALL THE MORE FRUSTRATING that you failed with the multiplayer so badly. you let yourselves down you let the community and the fans down and soured what should have been a brilliant brilliant game.

LEARN TO GET GAMES WORKING BEFORE LAUNCH
DONT USE REDICULOUS IGN / GAMESPY RUBBISH for your account creation and authetication
PROVIDE MORE FEEDBACK TO YOUR CUSTOMERS so at least we are updated with progress and have an idea whats going on.
Currently it looks to us like youve stuck your head in the sand and are hoping we'll go away...

I see alot of QQ about DX11 - to be honest it wont improve the gfx that much and it is not a major issue anyway.
Priority from all should be fixing multiplayer account creation and login, and then server availability and reliability.

Im sure this will not be read or paid attention to by any Crytek employee and nothing will come as a result.

Please quote this post if you agree with the issues i've mentioned

THANKS FOR READING!

In all sincerity, don't you and other pc players find that the console feel in games (kinda childlike play) irritates you some times?

I mean if you look at the Crysis2 vs Crysis. The first one is almost advlts only game play. But as soon as they make it for console use then it becomes childish. Besides the graphics looking awful it just feels like... well not like a pc game.

Another of these examples will be Deus Ex. The second one which was written for consoles also just lost the plot for me, just to name a few.

I think this game has lots of potential. It looks to be fun to play. I bought this game the day it was released and i have yet to be able to play it. the game will install but it wont launch. Hi, I was wondering If there's a way to install Crysis 2 onto a separate drive entirely? I have one with 800gb free, but because my SSD with my OS is full, it won't install.

Yes, I've changed the install path, but it still is asking for 7GB on C:

I havent played much multiplayer matches cause for some reason cant connect to most servers, but the thing i have most trouble is that playing the campaign my computer crshes after about 10-20min of game play and yes i have updated my drivers, reinstalled have nothing running on the background + my computer can handle the reqs. Also if u die or finnish playing all your nanothingis are lost so pretty much not possible to get any of the best nano upgrades.

Erm... if it says drive C is full then you have not changed the installation location. I install all my games to F: drive which is my gaming drive. So i think you should re install and when it ask for Custom installtion choose that option and change it to your xtra drive number.
