Also, we're not Crytek's only customers right now, and we're certainly not the financial priority. CryEngine 3 is being rolled out in many different forms other than the game renderer. Visit mycryengine.com and have a look at what they've got going on. Education SDK's, simlulation software developement, motion cinema software, think of the money these will bring in for Crytek and you'll get an idea of why we're not getting our updated code
this instant.
Ok jimeth, so I'm selling you a car, but you can't use the 3rd gear, it'll come with an upgrade later, but I can't help you before a few weeks because I have other customers you understand? however, I sold it to you at the full final price. Would you find that normal?
We don't care about their other customers, it is not our problem, and we don't have to suffer this. We paid, we should be having a finished product for more than a week now. This is not serious, this is not honest, it was the last EA games I bought. If you like to be a turkey, they come closer, I'll take care of your feathers
Your position is understandable, but what it all comes down to is when. Now i'm putting this to you on blind faith in crytek, but i will assume here that we will all eventually get what we paid for. Is it not within reason to wait for such for a small while? People will complain about this game with the main contention being it was released too early, thus the release date and not the game's content is their problem. I propose that all complaints now are useless given that if the game were to be released with all its features at a later date, it would be the same as releasing the game incomplete beforehand and then later providing the full featured version. In both scenarios the end-users receive the final product on the same date, pay the same price, and get the same features, the only difference being that in the unfinished-then-update scenario, users are complaining about getting a few features early.
Think about it.
If we do not get the features we feel necessary to make this game a successful use of our funds, then we will as is our right, complain and demand that money back. But until i am proved wrong and crytek abandons work on bringing crysis 2 to maturity, my point stands.
