Crysis 2 PC fixes & info [Updated 16th April]

Post » Wed Sep 17, 2008 1:14 pm

I didn't read other posts.Whatever.
Issues :
Singleplayer :
-Sometimes game crashes.
-Nano-civilans.Maximum immortality.
Multilplayer :
-Lag
-Unlocked equipments disappears
-God damn pirates
-Inequable team balance
-Especially at the island map (I'm playing Turkish version I don't know what is it name in English - It's "Lighthouse"(Thanks too much StabbyMcHatchet) ) and in crash site mode the alien pod is not lands right positions. So only one team have the win chance.
-Play, play, play; gain xp, gain xp, gain xp and disconnect from server. All gone.
That's all for now.
-Spawning near enemies.Too bad.Spawn & die.

By the way; I'm sorry for my low English grade.

Thanks Crytek!

Hello everyone.

I just want to state one thing here before I start: this is NOT the CRYTEK company I always knew! I recall MAXIMUM games such as FAR CRY, FAR CRY 2 and CRYSIS... but CRYSIS 2 is a MAXIMUM LIE and MAXIMUM SHAME!

PC gamers are a lot more critical than console players; they are believers by nature because they simply paid a lot more than any console freaks to have their games run at the peak of technology! And CRYTEK fed our expectations with CRYSIS 2, you promised a lot to PC GAMERS about it. You, Crytek, promised that PC version of CRYSIS 2 would be a BOMB, a game that would break the boundaries of technology... but now that we bought it, we know that all your vows were nothing but a lie!

WE PC GAMERS do not ALLOW a console conversion into our machines! Is that hard to understand why?? Console game conversions are just a JOKE to ours graphics accelerators, an INSULT to our top processors, a SHAME to the general capacities of our expensive machines!! Are you, Crytek, taking the wave of companies such as Capcom that only ports console games to PCs? Are you, Crytek, taking the same position of companies that keep thinking that PC GAMERS will not notice if a game is going to be "silently" ported? FORGET IT GUYS!! WE ARE SMART, INTELLIGENT and very DEMANDING creatures! YES, WE ARE!! We want CLEAN STATEMENTS, we want TRANSPARENT PROMISES and WORDS!! WE WANT REAL GAMES MADE FOR OUR MACHINES!! WE DON'T WANT ports! NEVER, EVER!!

Is this clear enough to you guys?
We STILL TRUST ON YOU, Crytek team. YES, we do! But from now on, AFTER this JOKE you called CRYSIS 2, we are going to need REAL EVIDENCES and PROOF that you DESERVE our RESPECT and TRUST! YES, that's it! So, please don't UNDERESTIMATE yourselves by presenting console conversions to PC GAMERS anymore! PLEASE!!!
You can do SOOOO MUCH BETTER!! If you want our SUPPORT and our MONEY in the future, PLEASE don't DISAPOINT US again!!

I hope you understand, Crytek team!
THANK YOU A LOT!

Totally agree. Maybe with the exception of "I still trust Crytek".

Without having read all of this threat I would like to inform you guys, that I (and with "I", I mean a friend of mine) cannot log into the forum. The login works for the rest of the site, but not the forum part of gamesas.com.

I'd like you to fix this soon, because I might like to post in this forum or change my password and so on.

Greetings,
SgtWunderlich

He should try to log in with his username instead of the e-mail address which I assume he's using. That worked for me.

You wont sell crap for DLC if these hackers are running around like they are. Also, server performance is so shoddy. I thought Crytek was the pinnacle of game development, but apparently they perform at the same level as these other title factories.

Oh ya guys, most of you people are right. You guys remember the other ′game launches′ by EA ? its everytime the same with EA. Not Crytek is the ****, It is EA!

EA should be crushed to dust, not Crytek

Crytek programmed with CryEngine2 the imo world best game engine. CryEngine3 seems to be not that good because of the console port. I think EA is responsible for all this ****. EA is not interessted to give us a good game. EA is interessted to give us a game- nothing more. They do it for the masses, they do it for the money, they do not doit for our pleasure.

Think about EA: BF2, BF2142 (ok 2142 was easier), BF:BC2 and now Crysis2. Ever the same worst thing with EA.

EA killed another good game-developer, Crytek.
Where are the terrorists, if we need them for EA ;) uuuuuhhhhhhh eeevil ;)
If i c a car of EA i will use my key my way. You EA guys deserved it not only one times.

Crytek made a good game but the low grafix and the little bugs, uhm ya. Crytek is good advised to release the DX11 patch as fast as it can.

My opinion: develop Cryengine4 for PC and downconvert it to console. PC leads to the future! -not the console for the dumb asses.

Am i angry? hm ya, maybe i should play Crysis1 with HighResolutionFoliage, HighResolutionNanoSuit, custom HighResolutionRocks, HighResolutionGrass and all the other mods you can find on the web. Crysis2 is far far away from this kind of quality. I do crying a bit, Crytek. You now deserved your name. CRYTEK ****.

Hey, uhh I heard from a friend, he can download the torrent of crysis 2 and play online, because if he enter any cd-key, it creates the account. It is possible to solve this? Because we pay $ 60 to play multiplayer ...

Hi, I'm having a problem with multiplayer.. when i start multiplayer, the game shuts and gives the error:

"deleting reference counted object twice"

I searched the internet for a solution, and i found one: i copied "Crysis2.exe" and "Crysis2Launcher.exe" from the install cd and pasted it in C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis 2\bin32\

However, when i start the game again, i am able to access multiplayer, but when i click "join match" there are zero servers in the list.
In the options menu i saw the auto aim assistance.. that means the patch doesn't work anymore, cause the patch removed that option completely.
But in the Crysis 2 folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis 2\patch) i see a file named: "patch1.pak"

So this is really strange, and i still can't play multiplayer with my nano edition..
Can someone help me? cause i really wanna play multiplayer now!
And Crytek, if you're reading this, do something about it please! :)

Thanks,
Remco

hi everyone!

What can i do with this text: "the connection to your opponent has been lost. You've been signed out!"?
I always probe playing with the multiplayer but always (every occasion!!) the game drop me out after 2 minutes "play" and the program say "the connection to your opponent has been lost. You've been signed out!"....
I do anything wrong or this is a game fault?
thx the replies

I'm not going to join on this agreeing flame wave, but I'm kinda disappointed that the game isn't complete. Bugs in multiplayer is something i can live with for a couple of months. But when the bugs start to show in the single player campaign I get a little pissed off.

This is not the first time I've bought a game full of bugs in the multiplayer mode, but this is to be expected.
But why is the Single Player mode full of different bugs? (I'm not going to take my time to write down every bug when the hundreds of post before me already has) There is no playable part of this game, nothing flawless, not one mission flawless, nothing.

Crytek, did you really test this game properly and was the date of the release really something you agreed with, or did EA games make you release it early?
I'm sorry, I know you can't answer that directly. (because i work in the game industry aswell, and i also know you guys are going for the "do not tell the community anything because they will get fired up" tactic ****, which svcks imo) But "heeey", it's kinda obvious that this game wasn't finished. All respect for Crytek for trying, but like many games and game developers this days do: You Fail

You also directly fail at informing the community, the gamers, YOUR BUYERS what to expect. You give detailes about a game you wish to make, not what you have made. This svcks.

The least you can do is what real developers should do, they give themself a deadline, a deadline they can make, tell the comunity about the deadline you're trying to make and f**king fix it!

You have with my deepest sorrow become one of those developers people talk about, and not in a good way. It svcks to write **** like this down, and it even svcks more to know you're presumably only gonna let some kid in the 20's read this (as he/she is the "community leader") or no one's going to read this. Because you (again) presumably don't want to work with a "finished" game.

And again, the thing that makes me feel even worse.. Is that if, and i say IF, someone reads this from the developers team. They'll prolly just ban me for swearing several times in this post

Agreed, I was really hoping that this game was going to have direct x 11, and was hoping that they would have used some tessellation to make this another engine that we could benchmark our systems with.

I think the PC gaming community deserves a definitive answer on whether or not Crytek will include future Directx11 support for this game. Or at the least, an in-game menu that allows you to tweak graphic settings.

Thank you.
this.. and you guys have no right to treat us like pile of horse **** when it comes to dx11.. u guys kept saying it supported dx11.. where is it? WHERE??????

I lol'd, they never confirmed it, never said it was coming, it was all just an assumption

also Crytek, fix the goddamn problems with cheaters in MP....

Yes. This problem is all over the internet. The Multiplayer will play for between 20 seconds and 3-4 minutes, then kick you with the message "connection to the opponent has been lost." It was really bad during the demo, and I had no idea it would not be fixed. The multiplayer is literally inoperable for people with this problem. It is not possible to finish a game. I put in a pre-order for a $60 game that is only 50% functional.

Crytek, you must help with this issue. There seem to be literally hundreds of people on forums and blogs having this issue. There are NO viable fixes on the internet. None. I have tried port-forwarding, creating a DMZ, and plugging directly into my modem. Nothing works. Here's what I'm running:

1MBPS residential DSL through Verizon. I never lag in CoD4, Starcraft II, or anything else.
Westell 6100G DSL modem
Belkin Wireless N Router Model F5D8233-4v3

Computer:
Windows 7 with McAfee Security Center (Windows Firewall both Enabled and Disabled, neither works)
Wireless card is an Atheros AR8132 PCI-E

I don't think any of my other hardware matters, but I'm well within spec. I get 45ish FPS on max settings.

Please fix this or at least sticky it. Do a simple google search and you'll see how many people are trying to fix this issue.

It was not "Havok". It was "Ubisoft Monteral" developer. "Havok" is a in-game technology, who helpes with physics and graphics.

CRYSIS 2, Everytime I play multiplayer, it starts fine and I get between 1 minute and 10 minutes play. Suddenly the screen will go black for a few seconds and then I get the message " The connection to your opponent has been lost. You've been signed out." Then it goes all the way back to the initial log in screen. I AM NOT HAPPY!! The multiplayer demo was fine, no issues. The campaign was fine, no issues. S why do I get this everytime I try and play a multiplayer game??
I have 50meg broadband with an ethernet cable straight to fibre optic through Virgin Media. Have tried it with Firewall on and off, both the same.
I have Q6600, 4G of memory, GTX280 1G graphics... Should work a treat! It does on Campaign?
Do not have any issues with any other games.

Besides the nano resetting to 0, my only real problem is in Semper Fi or Die....GD Marines won't stfu! All I hear is "Move up", "Go Go Go" over and over again. I've turned the sound down because they won't stfu, tried killing them, beating them up and duct tape over their mouths. If I could open the .pak file, I'd make those sound files silent.
