First off let me say when I FIRST got this game here in the UK I truly thought it was going to be good and like alot of people out there i was massively dissapointed with all thr frustrating bugs and it has taken me 2 weeks of constant tweaks googling downloads and updates and reboots and who the hell knows what else. I have had all of it! I have the amd 6990 and suffered thre multi gpu flickering at first - horrified that there wre no in game advanced options, slow extreme enthusiast settings under 11.4 amd preview drivers slow mouse buggy gameplay in MP and SP. YOU NAME IT I HAVE HAD IT. Now i CONSIDER MYSELF TO BE UTTERLY CRAP AT PC KNOWLEDGE BUT THERE IS NO WAY I GONNA FALL TO THE CONSOLE CROWD SO I svckED IT UP AND STARTED TO APPLY THE FIXES AS THEY CAME THROUGH. firstly applied cap3 multi gpu driver app from amd , 2ndly REINSTALLED THE GAME TO LET Ea download manager auto patch the game to 1.2. Reinstalled my drivers 11.4 and cap3 for the 4th time. 3rdly downloaded wadsies Crysis 2 Advanced Graphics Options v 1.5 but was dissapointed at the shortcomings of that as there was no multi gpu app. 4THLY HAVE JUST DOWNLOADED AND APPLIED 1.7 AND LATEST VERSION OF Crysis 2 advanced graphics utility 1.7 version and maxed my CCC CONTROL CENTRE GRAPHICS OPTION AS WELL AS SETTING EVERYTHIMG TO EXTREME IN THE ADVANCED C2 UTILTY AND HEEEEEEEEY EEEEEEEUUUUUUREEEEKA PRESTO!!!! LAUNCHED THE GAME AND MY JAW DROPPED AT THE SMOOTHNES OF THE GAMEPLAY WITH BOTH GPUS RUNNING AND FULL4GB ENABLED . MY MONITOR IS THE HUMBLE BUT EXCEPTIONAL HP 2159 FULL HD MONITOR MAX RES IS 1920 X 1080 SO NOT EVEN MAXING OUT THIS CARDS FULL POTENTIAL AS FAR AS RES IS CONCERNED BUT ONCE YOU ARE THERE MAN AND HAVE APPLIED EVERYTHING THIS IS THE BEST GAME IN THE WORLD AND WHT A PLEASURE IT IS TO PLAY AT HESE DIZZY HEIGHTS. CRYSIS 1 PALES IN COMPARISON, SO ANY AMD 6990 OWNERS OUT THERE THAT ARE STRUGGLING JUST REPLICATE MY STEPS AND IF YOU ARE STILL STRUGGLING EMAIL ME AT mbardeleben@yahoo.co.uk and i will be happy to reply with all the help you need. Just one tip when you download any apps or new driver updates from amd make sure you download and apply driver sweeper to clean out your registry application files relating to amd as any files left there will cause your new drivers not to work properly. I have win 7 he 64 bit, and OMG THIS GAME IS OPTIMIZED FOR 64 BIT GAMING. MY SETTINGS ARE SO GOOD NOW I WET MY PANTS EVERYTIME I PLAY ONLINE MP AND SP. DIRECTX 11 CAN WAIT!!! I am. you need a gamespy account. That's the only thing that worked for me. The down side to all of that is that the game doesn't register on your EA profile so it doesn't sync with the gunclub.

i hope some1 here can help me. If tryed everything that i found on this forum that might help me but nothing helped so i tought ill add a post mabye some1 can help me. Oke Simple sayd my game crashes with in 5 seconds of starting a Sp or MP game, ohh not just the game my whole pc crashes and i need to reboot manually(pc reset button).

The strange thing is, if been playing for over a week now. I finished Sp 2 days ago and played for 11h or so on MP, 2 days ago i started and everything was great, never had a crash or anything. Then i notice that my mp unlocks are not being saved, so i look on the forum found a solution and it worked. This was simple, unlock your gear during a map switch when your connected to a server. I restarted my pc and i played for a few more rounds. A few hours later i log on again, and my pc crashes nothing worked, monitor went to standby- keyboard didn't react.

So i tested my SP games and nothing, i enter the game and in a few seconds my pc crashes. Well after a few times that happend i reinstalled the game, i tought i did something ells wrong so updated my graphicC drivers even got beta version of nvidia and did not work. Looked on the forum but nothing helpt.

I got a quadcore intel, 4gigram, gtx460 se nvidia card. Looked to my errors log etc but nothing jumped up. my gpu temp is around 65 c so thats oke.

I just dont know wats wrong, i played with out any problems, resintalled te game started a new online profile and didn't work. I thought i might have been the mp weapon unlocks, yeah i know why would that be a problem in my SP. So any help or sulotion here would be great, i have no idea what to do and i just want to play this apparently buggy game, witch i never had any problem with sinds yesterday. i looked around for post with the same problem bud did not find any, or mist them. Any help will be appreciated.

OK I just figured out how to make your unlocks stick!

Follow these steps:

1) NEVER refresh the server list using the cancel/refresh buttons. Always go back to the main menu and click join game to refresh the server list that way. Similarly for favorites list.
2) When you are in the game lobby, before the next round starts, CUSTOMISE ALL YOUR EQUIPMENT HERE. Do not, I repeat DO NOT exit once you have customised...let the game start, and you MUST FINISH the new round. Once this is done, press continue at the experience summaries after the match, thus returning to the lobby.
3) Now your unlocks are finally actually unlocked!
4) quit the game, come back, and still unlocked!
5) remember NEVER PRESS CANCEL/REFRESH when on the server list page!

I've played today for about 1:30 hours and my stats in MP did not change, i've advanced from rank 21 to 23 witch is shown in the MP lobby but in Leaderboards nothing is changed...is it possible that database is offline ?

ps1. i still have problems with unlocks...they lock again after quiting MP session
ps2. just now i've played with 2 guys from the same team and they admited that are cheating (they had scores 16/0 - 20 / 0) i was on their team but i left when i saw the cheating
ps3. Crytek ask us not to accuse players for cheating, ok then...i accuse Crytek for cheating...they sold us a **** game, full of bugs, and free for cheaters and hackers....how about that Crytek....do not work for that DX11 patch, focus on the cheating&bugs problem...because if you don;t do it....when you will release DX11, no one will play this sh*tty failure, GOT IT ? Now get the F*** back to drawing table and solve this fuc**** problems.

Seriously, drop everything and just fix the hacking already. It is ridiculous and you could just go to the leader boards and permanently ban the top 50-100 people at least and not worry about banning a non cheat.

try ed a few new thinks, cleaned up my pc. And still can't start a sp or mp game. getting quiet sick of it.

I have reinstalled the game, and it seem like it wont try to log in just say: check network. I have checked every components, and nothing. CRYTEK DO SOMETHING!

I installed the 11.3 CAP3 update from AMD's site and it removed the flickering BUT I am experiencing flickering when I go into nano-vision.

When in that mode, heat signatures flicker.

Is anyone else having this problem?

I dont know if you know, but Crytek Germany (Frankfurt) only build the singleplayer.

The guys from Crytek UK got orders to build the multiplayer.

Maybe you should think about that. (I read that somewhere, correct me if I'm wrong....)


Crytek is great and they created a wonderful ARG (Alternate Reality Game). The concept is great and everything worked fine for me.

And hey, why are ppl complaining about high pings?
I live in germany and some servers got 1000ms-pings even if it are german servers.... but when i play on them i have 30 to 50 pings...

Stop beeing perfectionists!


The only thing I can complain about is, that my NAT-Type does not change, even if I forward all ports from the readme. But i can play SP and MP without further issues.

That's great and all, but I much prefer if you guys worked on fixing the rest of the f...ing game!

Forget about DX11, just fix the crashes in the singleplayer campaign. Tired of having to reinstall the game to have it crash at the same exact place. I did not pay for this.

I haven't had ANY of the issues people seem to be having. I must be lucky. Trust me though if you can't get onto MP, you are gonna want the hacks fixed because they are out in full force. I got lucky this morning and had none though and that is a first.

how bout the console fixes im figured out when im host my game is great but when im not host im either a 1 bar or 2 bar and i might 7 and 14, the lag when im not host is terrible it would really be a pleasure if you had dedicated servers Crytek
I love your game but i need dedicated servers soo that i dont feel like i was cheated out a kill when used a full mag in his skull and he still dosent die
