I managed to solve the flicker with a driver update, but now it's come back in full. Before the update all I needed was to disable the vsync but now it's happening regardless, not only that but the flickering is also happening to other games when I flip on the Vsync after playing Crysis 2.

It started happening again after the recent update.

It seems that the flicker actually happens when I turn the Vsync on, if I turn it off I get refresh lines scrolling across the screen at high speed.

Every other game, after I run crysis 2, has this problem, flicker with Vsync activated and scan lines when I turn vsync off. If I don't run crysis 2, there are no such problems. This is just annoying beyond belief.

My specs are:

ATI Radeon 5970 black using 11.3 ccc app drivers, Intel i7 920, 8Gb ram running on windows 7 64bit.

I've never experienced bad drivers on AMD's end. So far I've had both AMD and Nvidia cards and my Radeon cards have always been much more reliable and less prone to hardware failure. Only once did I see such messy graphics in a big release and that was in Empire total war.

N?o deu nenhum problema n?o, até onde eu vi. Testei bem rapidamente o sp e o MP, rodo tranquilo com excess?o do pala gráfico.

Have you tried adjusting the brightness in game? that "fixes" the flickering for me. However, it will come back on next time u boot the game or fi u change graphics settings

Yup, I've tried that, though it still makes every other game I run look like crap after I run crysis 2. Hate to have to simply go all out and not play the damn thing until a more thorough fix for it is applied. I really don't want to have to keep rebooting my system every time I play crysis 2 just to be able to play something else without getting a seizure filter added.
