Crysis 2 freezes during loading and then crashes

Post » Wed Dec 14, 2011 12:47 pm

Hello,

Yesterday only I purchased Crysis 2 and after installing it, I installed patch v1.9, DX 11 patch and High resolution textures pack. I set all graphics settings to maximum and started the game, it all went fine (aprrox. 35-40 FPS), until I was killed by enemies. After that, it asked to press enter to load the last checkpoint and so I did. The game froze and no response even after waiting for hours, I restarted the PC, booted up the game again and now, when I click in resume game button, it loads till end and then freezes, even then I waited for hours, nothing happened. Then I pressed enter or space bar button and game crashed. I can't play the game, any help would really be appreciated.

PC specs:

i7 2600k @ 3.4 ghz
Asus P8H67-v
4 GB DDR-3 RAM
Nvidia GTX 460 with latest drivers

You need to do something of the following tehnicques:

1. Back-up you save games, and reinstall the game.
2. Reinstall the game, but before starting a new game, enter the Multiplayer menu (and then go back to the SP menu, and start a new game).
3.Make a new profile.
4.If nothing of this succeds, try contacting EA support.
