Crysis 2 from Crysis menu.

Post » Tue Nov 29, 2011 4:02 am

Hello,

I just purchased Crysis and I really enjoy it, I want to get Crysis 2 again(I rented first time).

My question is can I launch Crysis 2 from the main menu of Crysis as you can download it from there?

Also is the MP for Crysis 2 very active especially as MW and BF will be released soon?

Thanks!

This.

Honestly, if you don't already own it, it's not worth buying Crysis 2 right now on any platform for over £10. With the releases of BF3 in a couple of weeks, and MW3 two(?) weeks after that, I doubt there will be many players on any other shooters across all platforms.

I'll be on Crysis 2 even when those other titles are released, and so will others. BF3 and MW3 offer a completely different experience than the one found in Crysis 2. Nothing on the market compares to Crysis? Halo? pleaseeeeee not even close. If you want Crysis 2, you've got to get Crysis 2. In addition I also feel that many of the Crysis 2 players that try out BF3 will be dissapointed, it's a much slower paced game... Camping is practically required in BF3 and is non existent in Crysis 2

^ I agree with this guy. I may decide to buy BF3 and/or MW3 someday (probably not though, I'm just not the biggest fan of military shooters) but no FPS game will stop me from playing Crysis 2 (even though I haven't touched it in awhile but thats only because I've been playing newer games, including the original Crysis released on consoles).

Funny story actually, Crysis 2 was the game that got me off of playing MW2... I felt like I was playing a much more awesome version of it and haven't gone back to it since Crysis 2 came out.

Not if people follow your bad advice, MMAMickey ;)

Crysis 2 is a whole different game experience on campain and multiplayer, and I believe the game is strong enough to withstand other shooters, IF people would continue to open up their own minds on what to play, regardless of what their friends are buying. I myself didn't know a single person who played the game when I bought it, but when you try hard enough, you can make new friends in a new game, no problem.

No offense. Cheers!

Thumbs up, Friend! If you play on Xbox 360, I'd be glad if you give me an add.

Cheers!

Just buy the game you want to play, don't mind what others do or think.

There are still enough people to play with, I see fresh gamertags every day, and with you and other new people coming on, it shouldn't be a problem. Crysis 2 has a very strong and unique multiplayer, no game compares to it. Cheers!

Crysis 2 mp is not original. There's is plenty to compare it to. Cevat Yerli himself praised COD mp and that's why Crysis 2 mp is very much like COD's. I agree that Crysis 2 mp is awesome, when it works, but to say that nothing else compares to it is just ignorant. As they say, ignorance is bliss.

Now let the rage fly as you respond to my post. lol

"Let the rage fly"? I don't get a single dime from Crytek, I don't need to promote. Everybody can have their own opinion. If that makes me ignorant in your eyes, be my guest. It just get's me pissed when many people buy a game, just because of the "all my friends are getting it" mentality, that's all. One can always make new "friends" online, I myself just met like four cool guys on C2 today.

There are many games that have some similarities mechanic wise, but the overall game package and game experience of Crysis and Crysis 2can not be compared to other titles IMO. If you have a different one, I won't call you ignorant. If you beg to be blocked however, just flame on.

LOL, nicely done. No flaming at all.

Right, to each his own. I still think you're ignoring the obvious, hence the use of ignorant. Nothing personal. I agree with everything else you said except Crysis 2 being in a class of it's own. That's all.

FLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME!!!! lol ;)

I haven't bothered with MP on Crysis 2 for a while on Xbox. Is it still alive? Also, I bought the first DLC pack before I cancelled Live Gold, and no one was playing the new maps. Is it still like this?

Well multiplayer is still alive on PS3 although many of my friends started playing Battlefield 3. But I am going to continue to play Crysis 2 until EA decides to shut down its servers (which I hope is not going to happen anytime soon).
