Is crysis 2 going to be windows vista only?

Post » Tue Jan 05, 2010 12:54 am
Vista svcks. I had nothing but problems with it, and went back to XP SP3. Now I have Windows 7 Home Premium, and am a happy camper.
Windows 7 is literally Vista 2. Its just what Vista should have been.
+1
For me Vista was a drag, and a lot of trouble with bugs and glitches, it just seemd to be using a lot more that should have been available for other things.

SO back to my XP, I had always liked that, and stayed with it in preference, then tried the pre release candidate, for windows 7 ultimate, I was well impressed, built this rig to utilize its many advantages, and purchased home premium, the budget wouldnt stretch to ultimate lol,
I just think its a dream compared to Vista, and as Kuro said, its what vista should have been. :D

People that aren't pirating scumbags and can afford it? Windows really doesn't cost that much considering that it runs your system...

Let's face it, Dx is the only thing that keeps us using their stuff. Anyways, a penny saved is a penny earned :). Well its almost like saying, do you want this computer for 500 bucks or do you want the same exact thing for 425.

No, it's nothing like that. What it's like is "do you want to pay for this product, or do you want to steal it?".

Please keep the piracy discussion/suggestions off this forum. Advocation of such a thing is considered by some to be just as bad as the deed itself.

As such, piracy is said to be a reason, that the retail cost of CD/DVD/ music movies and Games, along with other Media, does not come down in price.
Much like shopliftling, and insurance fruad, affect the general public's weekly expendature.
Just one single pirate windows is wrong, shouldnt happen and is a loss to the company, when all the piracy is stamped out I will be a happy dude, and as Shinaigans said, its likened to stealing, more over, it is without doubt fruadulent.

You know, I wouldn't mind a proper Piracy Discussion Thread over on Crymod.

As long as nobody admits to pirating a product DarkLight. ;)

That would call for a ban... :P

Admitting to piracy can get you banned. I get things for free as well, but OS and video games are the two things I steer clear of.

I think someone should kill that Crysis231

Maybe Crysis 2 is Directx10/11 only, but I hope it is directx9 also, I love windows xp it's from 2001 and still one of the best OS's we ha today. The only thing I don't believe at all it that will be direct x 11 only

i have win7 ultimate 64 bit... for free :D (no i didnt pirate it, its just that my dad is a programmer and he can get any windows OS for free because of benefits from his company). I hate piracy very much, and i have never pirated, and watching pirated movies from sleazy companies just sux, the voice and graphics svck, thats why. Anyway BACK TO THE TOPIC, i do not think C2 is vista only, and anyway, even if it was, u could just turn on compatability mode on Win7 and it should work. and back off the topic :D . Win7 is an awesome OS, it has shorter boot time than vista too. andi totally respect XP also, its a good old OS, and i respect ppl who like it more than 7 and use it, but its just my opinion that i likie win7 better. Sometimes some things are better for some ppl and not for others. just think of it like that. but if u can get win7, dump vista.

windows 7 is everything vista was supposed to be, except it actually works.

even on a mac pro windows 7 works better than windows vista. i never understood why people complained about vista until i got windows 7.

All this ranting and raving is crazy o _ O

Windows xp is good; it's solid. Has been for ages. I use it right now here at work and on my personal laptop.

Vista did svck at first; as others have mentioned, updates were made and with them major improvements followed. I second the "You need to know what you're doing" comment with Windows Vista. I own a license for Windows Vista Ultimate x64 still and my PC's have ALWAYS ran it PROBLEM FREE.

Currently using Windows 7 Ultimate x64 at home however; and it is the best of both worlds of XP and Vista. It has XP's performance with Vista's visuals.

I also second an earlier number of comments: STICK WITH WHAT YOU LIKE. If you're on a Windows-Based PC Windows XP or higher, I'm sure you'll be just fine. Crytek is smart; they're only going to collect all the money they can so they can afford the potential Crysis 3. Duh!
