CRYSIS 3 graphics settings improvements

Post » Sat Jul 28, 2012 5:33 am

Crytek please make the graphics settings menu for crysis 3 more flexible just like the crysis 1. The graphics settings menu is of crysis 2 was very vague and short, unlike Crysis 1, you can turn off or adjust each feature. The options in crysis 2 were combined. For example, the object options in crysis 2 for dx11 has both tesselation and parallax occlusion. This option should be split in two. you guys will see what I am talking about and how elaborate and easy to adjust graphics settings in Crysis 1 than crysis 2.

Let's not forget how you could fine-tune every single little thing in the CRYSIS console but less than 50 commands made it into the CRYSIS 2 console...

Crytek just tried to make things easier for noobs in pc gaming who dont want to tweak the hell out of a game.

My suggestion: The Doom 3 method... optional extended/advanced grfx settings

So the noobs can choose presets and more advanced gamers can play with the advanced settings... so everybody could be happy.

Ain't that exactly how Crysis 2 works? It has a "global preset" and then advanced graphics options to individually select the quality of each graphics component, DX11 features, texture quality and motion blur.

And so did Crysis, in fact. It also had that "global quality" preset thing.

Frankly, I think the Crysis 2 menu is pretty ok/good. What I want is to be able to change the more individual, smaller things through console commands!

Thank god the MaldoHD mod has access to all I wanted...

I'm glad this was posted...I couldn't stand C2's options. Even the patch was lame.

Ha, honestly I just want Crysis options back and the console open for us to tweak cvars. Seriously, the catering to DX11 in C2 was a total sellout move.

My system is DX10 and the fact that I could enjoy a ton of great graphic effects in Crysis that I couldn't in C2 was BS!
