Crysis 2 has dx10 maybe.

When you go in to bin 32 folder of crysis 2 you will see a d3dx10_42.dll what i am thinking is that dx10 is merged with dx9. So technically you are playing at dx 10. When you select the highest setting.

It's most likely evidence of a rushed job of trying to remove features from the game between the beta and now.

Yeah the beta even had DX11 files. they are gone now. Who knows what **** went on. I think this game was supposed to be really epic graphically in full DX11 but EA intervened and told Crytek to screw PC gamers over.

It's a common file that is part of the directx redist. Many games have it.

Yeah man that beta had DX11 files, even the sandbox 3. Is a good think that beta has "released" because we know what crytek planning with the game. I think it will be a sandbox 3, a DX11 patch. But i don't know how to explain what in the final version whey didn't include the sandbox 3. I think they will release little by little for the next few months, just to make the game popular, to increase it, and make sales.

LE: And if i remember correctly when you open the sandbox 3 from the beta version, it had some history files on it, i assume that was crytek developers working on it, before the leak.

I would not be surprised if people started using the beta's Sandbox 3 to make "illegal" mods for Crysis 2.

I'd actually support that, I think.

If thats true all they did was screw Crytek over. Probably to clear the way for BF3. But it seems unlikely they would have the power to do that especially given Nvidias involvement.
