Crysis has stopped working!

Post » Sun Dec 11, 2011 10:01 pm

I just bought a new laptop with good stats to play my games.

After my first install ever of crysis 1 on my new laptop it gave me a black screen and a popup window "Crysis has stopped working".

I don't know how to get the game log but here are my specs:

Specs:

dv6t Quad Ed
? Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
? 2nd generation Intel(R) Quad Core(TM) i7-2720QM (2.2 GHz, 6MB L3 Cache) w/Turbo Boost up to 3.3 GHz
? 1GB GDDR5 Radeon(TM) HD 6770M Graphics [HDMI, VGA]
? 8GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)
? FREE Upgrade to 750GB 5400RPM Hard Drive with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection
? 6-Cell Lithium-Ion Battery (standard) - Up to 5.5 hours of battery life +++
? 15.6" diagonal High Definition HP BrightView LED Display (1366x768)

If all fails, I don't know who to contact, a link would be helpful

Thanks in advance

hmmm ... try to run the program as Administrator , if that not work try to re-install crysis , if that not work again try to do this
go to shortcut press right click--->properties--->compability--->execute with compability for windows Vista SP2 and make sure to check run as administrator , If that dont work again ! then try to run crysis at DX9 Mode , to do that go to shortcut properties
and at the leters wich says "Target" at the end write -DX9 example "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis\crysis.exe"-DX9

most important is that you run an 64bit system so check if you have an 64bit Crysis.exe it should been in bin64 i think ...

Also Install At least Patch 1.2 i also reccomend to install the 1.21 hotfix for security holes in online gameplay

i hope this will help you :)
