My problem is simple: I have my crysis 1 key, but I cannot find the disk. I want an installation on my new rig so I can run it on max (my old laptop could only hit medium). Even assuming I find the disk, it is most likely scratched beyond belief. None of my friends have the game. Does anyone have any ideas? Should I try support or will they not be able to help?

Please don't flame me for this, but you could always torrent the game. Usually they aren't precracked and the installation process is untouched. Simply download, mount, enter your legit key, install and enjoy. I did this with my copy of Battlefield 2142 when I upgraded to Windows 7 from XP. The disc was far too damaged to install (and even now BARELY works for authentication), so I just torrented it and installed it from an ISO using my CD key.

Still need the disc for authentication, even if you manage to install, so just installing from a downloaded image wouldn't help.

No, there have been No-CD cracks available for C1 for years.

I hate games that have to have the CD inserted. I always either crack them or use virtual CD software like Daemon Tools to mount the .isos
