War Spirit needs to be on the Channel list, the dude has the best editing skills on youtube & great footage.

Awesome thread this should be a sticky, we have a lot of newcomers to the world of Crysis and they need all the help they can get.

Your first aim is to grind everything first, if you can
No need to reboot it is a painful process
In large maps with snipers and archers move in close with guns like feline jackals etc
Especially if they camp
Low profile is your friend on large maps
Use stealth in dry areas on water it is easier to spot
Move in zigzag patterns by moving both mouse and a/d keys to trick your opponent's
Power jumping in close range is fine but on medium range is suicidal, makes tracking easier for enemy
Use the trick slide jump to get out of danger, it looks like you slide in air
To do this, slide then powerjump before slide is over
In medium ranges always ads unless you have a laser
When sniping always go for head
Dsg better than gauss for people with low accuracy, more forgiving if you miss shots
Auto armor helps but not needed, more perks is more Winn (3 vs 2 slots for perks)
Ordinance alert is helpful but I think weapon pro is the best at start
And proximity alarm

And you forgot warspirirt and xxmasterjedixx

Can't type on kindle anymore it's frustrating
I'll go over strategy in training sessions
Most importantly is be calm so you can predict enemy movement patterns

A few more tips..

-Don't be afraid to jump in and have a go.
-Avoid running in cloak, only use it when you really need it, and walk when you do need to move in cloak. Just before your cloak energy runs out, switch on armour.
-don't cloak in sun or water unless you really really need to. I will see you a mile away. Use cover to move around the map as much as possible and run low profile if you can.
-If the going gets tough and your tired of dying, go high, and use your visor to tag the enemy. Your team will thank you for it. (make sure to have low profile in your loadout if you do this too)

I recommend rebooting your suit too. This will help sharpen your skills as you move through the reboot process. I had one primary weapon throughout all 5 reboots, and tried all the different weapons along the way. Don't worry about trying to complete all the assesments either until you get to your 5th reboot. Play the game and have fun.

Don't worry too much about dying a lot either. Follow good players around too, watch what they do. You can learn a lot from this.

I will come back and add some more later.. wanna play lost island now.. hehe

EDIT: One super important thing too.. DO NOT start rage vote kicking. do not vote kick someone unless you have a valid reason, and let everyone know why. More and more, too many good players, or players just having a good game like myself, get vote kicked and that is not good for the game at all. Video your matches for reference, and any suspect player, send it to Fellblade through the proper channels. >>> http://secure.gamesas.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=65&t=59890

Those native English speakers... :P

I agree that fear and frustration are a passport for death. This reminds me a video by SDub: Champion's Mindset: http://youtu.be/kw-qaa-quqI

I'm going to add it to the first post. About the vids by MasterJedi and WarSpirit, I can remember some great training/tips&tricks videos in their channel, I'll try to find them but I'll have crappy Internet for 2 weeks, so Youtube is a problem for me. Please post the links to these videos if you can find them!
