Crysis 2, Homefront or Socom 4?

Post » Mon Mar 09, 2009 7:10 am

Well I wanted to get one of those games, I was going to get crysis 2 but after the sloppy coded game eg, bad framerate, lag and tons of bugs. I can't really see a patch coming, crytek didnt do a good job making the game for ps3, so why think thier gunna give a **** about us now. Also I do like games like battlefied and MOH.

Even if you don't "think" that the multiplayer is that good,it still has the best single player campaign around.

Get MAG then.Even with all of it's flaws,it's still the best FPS out there.

Eh? PS3 version runs pretty well. It's not like the demo at all. I've also experienced no major, game breaking issues.

Some people are reporting lag online though. Again, I haven't experienced any major lag either. It's a peer to peer system so obviously you can expect lag to some extent depending on your connection quality. But so far I've only been on 3 bar green games, if it was on much lower than that - I would leave.

I have Homefront. Crysis 2 is allot better than Homefront, or Killzone 3 for that matter. I also have the Socom beta, I lag pretty badly on that. And there's no connection quality indicator so I can't really tell when I'm lagging. I just have to wait till I die in weird circumstances.

Well if it's online MP you want, stay away from Homefront. To be honest, i love MAG too, but Crysis 2 is the suprise of the year. I'm not getting any lag, and the graphics are nice (even without 1080p).

Havent played Socom since the one on ps2 that came with a headset so i can't really say if you should get crysis 2 or socom 4. But stay the heck away from Homefront...
If you think that Crysis 2 is buggy and sloppy made you really need to stay from Homefront. That game have a lot of gamebreaking issues they seem to have no idea how to fix (ps3-freezes often, reaaly hard to play with friends etc etc)

Get Socom 4. I have both systems, and have come to realize that the PS3 is only good for it's exclusive titles. I don't think that there has been one multiplatform game that hasn't been ported over from the 360. Not to mention, the servers that you play on, on the PS3, are free for you, so there is obviously going to be less support than there would be on the Xbox.

I know that I shouldn't be suggesting anything besides Crysis on these forums, but I'd say wait it out for Socom.
