THANK YOU!

*Watches trailer*

My thoughts: the graphics are, as you might expect, superb. Especially the water-covered windows, I almost felt like applauding. I was worried by the earlier trailer that you'd be choosing linear paths, but after watching this, the gameplay appears far more open.

Just one complaint; whoever did the gameplay should really look up the word 'stealth'. They clearly had no grasp whatsoever of the concept. Oh, and it'd be nice if the aesthetics of the HUD could be overhauled.

Well... Lol @ their idea of stealth. That's what's wrong with Crytek nowadays. No idea. And Psycho's new voice actor is ridiculously bad.

Other than that, meh. Slow.

I watched the trailer and I was let down, nothing new in it. But here is something funny. About a couple of days after the e3 trailer was released I made a comic strip of a scene in it. http://secure.gamesas.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=58&t=46578&p=487948#p487948.
This was included in the interactive demo if you went stealthy, lol.

Thank you Crytek for including my idea in the Demo :)

Crytek, I really hope however much money you're making off the "new" Crysis was worth completely alienating your entire PC fanbase.

Slow. Clunky. Uninspired. Apply to everything in this game:
-Gameplay
-Music
-Graphics
-Voice Acting

Just... Just ugh. Crysis 2 was pathetic, this is exactly the same game with a 3 plastered over it.

My honest opinion: Sellouts.

Finally seeing Crytek listening to the original community - as I am one of those from the original community, however this site is totally different from before and some bugs prevent me from modifying my nickname it stuck like this.

Crysis 1 had immense potential if perfected, Crytek simply dismissed it totally for the console fad that industry was trapping it self into.

May as well cash in on the series before they go entirely free to play.

I actually can't wait for them to go F2P and start making games a little more from the soul and a little less from the wallet. Looking forward to Warface much more than this linear, boring, completely uninspired piece of...

You see, what pains me the most about all of this is that the secret ingredient is indeed "love". Crysis 2 and 3 are blatant, soulless cashgrabs.

Finally seeing Crytek listening to the original community...

Crysis 1 had immense potential if perfected, Crytek simply dismissed it totally for the console fad...

And this game is any different from the Crysis 2 slow, boring consolefest how? Because of the somewhat prettier graphics? Because of the slightly larger play area?

Call of Duty with pretty graphics and big maps would still be garbage. You catch my drift.

I find it hilarious in a sad way that they tout this game as "going back to C1's spirit, massive choice" and yet they completely destroyed MY PLAYSTYLE OF CHOICE (Speed mode blazingly fast lateral strafing, dodging all incoming projectiles/damage with superhuman agility).

Where's my choice, Crytek? You cut my choice out. For what? For the sake of "streamlining"? And you call this "going back to Crysis roots"?

I wish so hard, OH SO HARD that I could unbuy Crysis 2. Needless to say, you won't be getting a single cent from me when Crysis 3 hits, and I hope Crysis 3 tanks so hard you go out of business. It'll probably tank massively on the PC camp and then you'll scream "B-b-b-but piracy!!!1one"

Crysis: Maximum Edition will remain enshrined on my shelf as glorious testament of "what could have been".

In short: I found this trailer so "meh" that it is greatly offensive to my longtime PC gamer sensibilities.

That's exactly the problem: Graphics aside, it's virtually undistinguishable from your average generic console manshoot.

Play Crysis (the original), Tribes: Ascend, Quake III: Arena or any Unreal Tournament for a taste of true PC glory. What do they have in common?

They are FAST. Not fast-paced, but fast-moving. Characters are agile. Movement feels natural, unrestricted, beautiful and stimulating.

This (Crysis 3) is slow, tank-like and boring as hell.

EDIT: As a testament to how much Crysis 2 (and Crysis 3 after it) svck, the inCrysis community (formerly the biggest Crysis community online) disappeared because pretty much everyone there (including the admins) lost all passion towards Crysis and Crytek in general after the Crysis 2 fiasco and being later reassured by C3 trailers that it wasn't getting any better.

I don't get Crytek's motive, they seem to be seriously determined and trying to prove them selfs they're some kind of innovators of future, my ass. F2P is ridicolous. And they won't do it with tech alone, the software needs talent and effort, Crysis should never have been spinned into a multiplatform title.

They aren't getting any credits nor awards from the high ranks of this, tech alone doesn't mean anything, Crysis 1 was praised because of it's gameplay, not because of it's GFX, but the popular benchmark and innovative editor did help.

They don't see how are they trapping them selfs by going on call of duty ****.

They should have made a new IP for consoles, stupid management.

They have totally submit them selfs to the western **** of gameplay. Traitors.

I wasn't going to be all out forthcoming, the only thing I came to talk here was because of the silent choice, but that's one thing, the gameplay they are showing in the trailer still looks like modern warfail.

Why the industry doesn't realize the only people who like modern warfail gameplay are x360 13 year old kids, the fad is soon going to be over when WiiU comes out and other stuff happens such as all those kids growing up, Activision won't have anything to svck out of the IP.

This is a complete style, complete gameplay that is only mindless shooting for scores that is nothing fun and nothing special, it cannot be defined hardcoe, and in no way should be a game based on it, because it's exclusively okay for only certain market, **** that market, the market of losers.

I would never ever work for a developer who has proven quality and to turn around to work for some **** market, take a hike, im not wasting my life making crap games for crap consumers.

What the heck will I say when Im old, when family asks, when historians ask, hey i was a CEO of a great great super tech company who made consolized modernwarfail derivative games with super GFX glued on them, I win a medal and a trophy for this utterly untalented and effortless life achievement!

Their philosophy is not worthy of any awards. I lost every bit of respect in Crytek i had when i heard F2P is their dream, guess i'll keep playing nintendo first-parties. Metroid Prime is by a magnitude better than the whole crysis franchise.

That's exactly the problem

So much anger from you.. get some fresh air, less play in video games. I think your mother need take little more attention to your psychological state than right now..and dont buy to you games..

Problem not in game or consoles..problem in you, in your brain..

Download Cryengine 3 and make all what you want..but i think it will be hard for your age

I want them to show other levels. This is the only C3 level they have shown! And I think they should redesign the HUD! It like C2 with that HUD!

We can't expect a better minimap since consoles can't handle it (they could give us PC players a better one) but they should atleast change the other elements!

Wow... what a disappointing trailer.

The AI looks half-retarded, the movement is still tank slow. The Nanosuit is still the same, the weaponry is still the same uninspired junk. The voice acting is laughably bad along with the soundtrack. The only thing that looks slightly improved is the level design.

I still see no evidence of this game being a true successor of Crysis 1. I see every instance of evidence to continue down the path of Crysis 2. In fact, Crysis 3 STILL looks like Crysis 2.5

I hope this game tanks hard in the hope that Crytek WAKES UP!
