Nothing concrete. But it looks like it'll be urban environments again.
Which would be ok, if it wasn't for consoles limitations confining what could be HUGE open and vast areas ala the jungles of C1. Crysis 2 was obviously limited in a ton of ways because of the consoles.
But still very enjoyable.
Some stuff that should be fixed in C3 IMO
You are cloaked, no one can see you, you are in shadow. No one has any idea where you are. Some character is facing away from you. You run out of energy . You run behind a big garbage can and uncloak.
!!!!- That same enemy automatically knows where you are and alerts everyone even though he couldn't see you.(this was **** annoying)
You spend time trying not to kill all your fellow humans and move to the next area completely undetected. You get to that area and then dialogue "Prophet's been spotted entering the area/building!" (The F***?!) (It should be some variation where they dont' know where you are. In C1 and WH you could stealthy avoid just about mostly everything)
Please for the love of god , Hire Maldo and get him to create all your textures. Because Crytek, you svck at texturing. C1 and WH had sub-par textures, Crysis 2 had decent textures for MP but crap for SP, even after the High res textures patch.(Even then there are a ton of glaring errors and bugs)
Holy ****, stop making faceless and slient protagonists, I could deal with not seeing Nomad's face in C1 even though he has a face that is seen in Promo renders and in the comic. Alcatraz has to be one of the worst protagonists of all time. Sure the story shaped up nicely at the end. But not worth it. Bring back Psycho and other characters.(Can't bring back nomad/ don't ask if you don't know)
If you feature more of Prophet in flashbacks , try not making his personality change all the time. One minute he's all stoic ,professional talking like a military guy. The next he's acting like a crazy conspiracy nut saying "You're all I got left man!"
Holy crap, why do they say "Man!" all the time.
Gould and Prophet both go from one type of personality to another saying "man" all the time man.
I don't know if that was intentional or what..
There were TOO many areas that felt like you were gearing up to go the next area (Which could be full of fun **** and lots of dialogue and exciting moments)....bzt fadeout with some convoluted and poorly compressed video sequence making it hard to tell where you were actually going.
(Again probably console limitations, because C1 and WH didn't have these Issues. Mind you I like the extra added layer of story focus. I love that. Just when it's not executed so poorly)
DX11 on PC on day 1, take you damn time if you need to. I don't mind waiting a month or two or more for it to release on PC after consoles to get a more polished product.
(this also means extensive graphics options Day 1 and complete CVAR control in SP and locked in MP ALA C1 and WH)
Don't listen to overwhelming whiners about gameplay balance issues in MP.
In C2 MP, you guys listened to all the people biching and moaning who actually DIDN'T know how the game mechanics and balance worked. People who didn't know how to play and you completely ruined everything by the time 1.8 came out. You kept making unnecessary balance changes that broke the gameplay and that brings me to
Focus on fixing the issues that ACTUALLY NEED TO BE FIXED.
All of Crysis 2's biggest problems in MP were never fixed.
Orbital Strike Lag spikes
Inaccurate Kill cams
Anti-Cheat Measures
Netcode(seriously, the resulting latency issues and hit detection made it increasingly hard to stay competitive)
If you Cloaked and had stealth enhance III sometimes your shadow wouldn't hide like it was supposed to. Or if you changed weapons to one with a laser sight, the laser would go from hidden to visible and back to hidden etc. Same if you looked down the sights of a weapon with a laser.
If people have programs allowing them to cheat out there , find those programs and incorporate an update that blocks those programs or how they work. It was hilariously easy from launch outwards to find aimbots all over google.
Different Matchtypes can have different score lengths: TIM was perfectly paced @50 Kills and it's original time limit. Changing it to 75 drew it out too much. 99% of the original maps were too small for long drawn out matches. Most people wanted CW like MP, fine give them THOSE OPTIONS for that.Instead of ruining it for all of us who LOVED the fast and strategic pace to MP on the many small maps.
I'm sure I can think of other **** right now but whatever.
/Hate me if you feel like it , i'm just a disgruntled Crysis Fan.
TL:DR
