ok i was playing through the Onslaught mission when the game crashed at a checkpoint, and now it crashes at the load screen...ive tried validating the install (its a Steam version) and re-installing but nothing...please tell me this is fixable?

hmm, seems deleting the most recent save fixed it....only lost 5 mins of gametime
