Crysis 3 Longetivity

This game is dying at a very rapid pace, as I'm sure everyone knows. There's currently under 300 players on PC, which is a new low as far as I know. Hundreds upon hundreds of empty servers, entire gamemodes go unplayed.

For a reference, Crysis 3 has successfully hit critically low population in just about five weeks since release. This is something that took Crysis Wars two plus years to do (hit the same playercounts), so this could be a death knell for Crysis 3's future.. I'd like to rub this is in Crytek's face for "selling out the franchise", but I'm legitimately concerned about Crysis 3.. since I do find it enjoyable in its own respect. Nothing feels good about rubbing anything in, it feels childish and I don't like to see hard work get abandoned so quickly by a community. Perhaps Crytek should use this as a learning opportunity, though.

So what is Crytek's plan? Will there be any free content releases, a mod SDK release, a more aggressive patching plan, or what? Will Crytek be cutting their losses and moving on?

Even the large 50% discounts do not seem to be bringing many people on board.

The rate of population decrease in this game is unprecedented for a Crytek title, and I fear that this MP will legitimately become a ghost town for all but the most die-hard fans very soon. Something needs to be done and quickly, but I fear that Crytek will be quickly cutting off support for a MP that has practically been DOA.
