So let me see if I have this right? Crysis 2 was released before it was ready, with many known issues, as well as even more issues with the so called patch. They were aware of all this yet still went ahead and released the game. Now not only have I paid MORE then what PC games should cost, (since when did PC games cost the same as console?) only to find I bought a defective product. To top it all off, I also find that all the money I put into my PC using SLI/Crossfire so that I could make the game look and run at max settings, and do so with no issues, yet I find that EA/Crytek released a defective game and knew they did so. So now to "fix" one of the many problems I find I have to disable one of my graphics cards??? WTF??? Whats the point of running 2 cards when this is one of the games that made me want to add the second one only to find the game won't run to good with both cards enabled. Now, if I disable SLI/Crossfire, is that a guarantee that my game will run with no issues? Right now while it looks great with max settings, I had to turn them down some, yet I am still getting screen freeze & lag. This is going on in Single player, I have not tried MP yet. Its a shame that EA/CRYTEK were so worried about making more money that they first focused on the current gen consoles, then tried to port it to PC. Then again so they could make money, they knowingly and willingly released a defective product at a higher price point with a lot of known issues. I know this due to the fact that after spending an hour on the phone with "Tec-support" (support? that's a joke) with no results to my problem, they offered me two $20.00 card codes towards anything I wanted to buy from their store. However, they would not let you combine them together towards one game. Only 1 code per purchase. So I bought a game (Battlefield: Bad Company 2) which also seems to have issues. Anyway, I am getting off the point, what I wanted to say is, that after an hour or so on the phone, at the end of the conversation the guy I was talking with admitted that the knew the PC version of the game was defective, that they knew as much yet went along with the release of it so they could have it out when the console versions came out. Thus they knowingly released a defective product to the market, then they pretended to "Act Surprised" with the calls & issues that all the PC users were having. IMHO I feel that CRYTEK made a mistake of teaming up with EA who in my opinion cares only about the all mighty dollar. I feel those of us who first played Crysis on PC when it was released were expecting the second game to be A LOT BETTER!!! Alas, it is not the case. Not only did they focus on the console game first, they also seemed to go a few steps back with this one. I mean it used to be when you were talking about "Gaming on PC" people would at some point ask, "But can your computer run Crysis?" well its safe to say that that question no longer applies. It should now be, can your computer run it with out any issues? To which I am sure the PC nation would respond with a LOUD "NO!!" Crysis started out on PC, as such they should of put all their efforts into making Crysis 2 for the PC then porting it over. I am also a bit let down by the game as a whole. Don't get me wrong, I love the game (when it works) but I feel that with Crysis & Crysis Warhead that the open world game play & jungle setting made the game look, play, and feel great. Being they now moved it to NYC it seems its more on rails, with very little option to explore or even have a number of ways to approach an objective. It seems now they draw the path for you, and pretty much force you to follow said path. Oh well, kind of went on a rant. Sorry.
