Crysis 2 Multi GPU support causes insane flickering.

Yeah I feel sickened too. It gets even worse when another day goes by where I have to see this game sitting useless in my Steam library.

Yeah works 100% except for those it doesn't work for.

Nvidia is still saying its the Game's fault too, someone better step up to the mic and say a few words here soon, Crytek/EA.

Guys, just change it to the FEAR.exe profile and it works fine. At least for me it did. Yes, the scaling is a bit off and the frames can stutter a bit more in areas, but its rare and you can always tell when its going to happen.

I loved this game, even if I didn't play it in the native settings.

I tried that one. Didn't fix a thing. Actually with that driver, windowed mode now still flickers, so it acutally seems to have worsened it lol.

Okay the flickering issue, ive downloaded the Amd patch for steam users and applied it to a non steam game and ive used radeonpro with custom settings to launch the game it works but the flickering is still visible but when changing the brightnees of the game the flickering disapperes, wtf.

Has anyone tried its really weird in order for the flickering to stop you have to adjust the brightnees, wtf.
And crossfire works, jubiiii

I may have found a possible fix for ATI owners.

Go into Catalyst Control Center -> My Digital Flat Panels and tick the "Reduce DVI Frequency on High Resolution Displays" checkbox.

Worked for me (Crossfire 6950s). I'm not sure what the setting would be for nvidia users.

..this long delay and the fact Crytek isn't giving us any updates makes me conclude they have no clue how to fix this. I'm still gobsmacked not a single techhead at Crytek tested this game on a dual gpu ATI card. they're not exactly uncommon.

well I'm done with this forum and all the negative energy. I'll just uninstall and take this game as a loss, not like I haven't bought bloopers in the past.

enjoy my 60 bucks, and congrats on swindling me out of it.

we've already heard the piracy excuse for NOT releasing a game on PC only... I wonder what excuse Crytek is working on to tell us about this fiasco.

I use a ATI Radeon HD4870X2 the new ati driver didn't killed the flickering but it gave a better performance and i just turned catalyst AI to advanced, either if you turn it off it works, the flickering is away :) (Click on CCC-gaming- 3D application settings- catalyst AI Disable or Advanced) :)
