Crysis 2 Multi GPU support causes insane flickering.

So Cry-Adam was kind enough to issue me a Warning in my PM's about my excessive posting on this issue.

So the PM's with my technical specs I sent detailing and showing videos of this issue in hopes they can fix it don't warrant any response, but flood-post one time and I get a warning 15 minutes later.. Glad they're on top of things here.

Does anything else need to be said, really? Be thankful a warning was all you got. Just because your PM's aren't responded to doesn't mean the information isn't forwarded on. A bit of maturity would be appreciated.

Maturity is more of an issue than theft to the Cry-Team? That says a lot.

Sigh. I'll be back in a few weeks then.

I guess It's just a bit frustrating having no info on what's going on. But I can see I'll just get myself in trouble getting worked up about it :P

Cry-Adam - I agree with you that there have been some ridiculous and immature comments here, however...

What is ridiculous is the fact that administrators have not responded AT ALL to this thread. I understand that you may think that people just come here to complain but you have to understand that there is a reason that they are complaining.
If you have a problem with people posting too much in this thread then there are two ways to resolve the issue:

1. ANSWER THE QUESTIONS or at least RESPOND in some way.

2. Threaten paying customers ("Be thankful a warning was all you got.") and drive them away.

Tell me who is mature and who isn't...

I sent this to Cry-Adam in private message. I told him I would be posting it here, obviously in hopes of it getting them off their asses and inform us of the progress they have made on the Multi GPU flickering issue. If this or any of my posts get deleted, or my account deactivated, I don't care. I don't let people walk over me. Especially when they do it after taking my $60cdn.

The message:
You posted the 1.2.0 update release notes in the Crysis 2 Multi GPU support causes insane flickering thread... WHY?

Why would you do that when it does not fix our issue? It just boggles my mind why you would post it there. If it does fix it, then say so. Then to add salt to our already gaping wounds, you tell PLG23 to stop the constant posting?

No offence, but what planet are you from? How are you helping? Why should we not be even more upset with your team for not answering the only question asked over and over in this thread?

You clearly think we are stupid, and thought posting the update details would make up for not fixing the Multi GPU issue. Is that what releasing a bug infested IP is all about? Collecting the money and getting to us weeks or months later when you feel like it?

I don't care what Crytek contributed to the PC. I can tell you this, if there is a Crysis 3, it will not only be pirated on the XBOX, PS3 and the PC, it will be pirated by people that USED to pay for it on XBOX, PS3, and the PC. How do I know?, because I sit back and read the forums and comments too. ;)

So, I will give you one last chance to tell us when we can expect a fix for the Crysis 2 Multi GPU support causes insane flickering issue.

I will be monitoring the thread, as well as posting this message there as well for all to see in hopes that gets you off your ass to respond to your customers with some USEFUL information. And please, no more threats via private message to pissed off and robbed customers. That's not mature at all. STAND UP AND BE MEN!!! Don't hide from the angry mob to only show up once a week to make us more angry. Your already losing sales, because anyone asking me about Crysis 2 (for any platform), I can only tell them, "don't bother, there are a LOT of bugs, some of them not allowing you to play at all, and no one at Crytek respects its customers enough to keep them updated on ongoing issues. I would pirate it first, here's the link..."

Was really disappointed that nothing was mentioned about this issued in patch 1.2. Honestly thought it would be fixed, would be great timing as well as my 2560x1440 monitor arrives tomorrow.
Guess I'll have to wait a while longer to play the game I bought nearly 2 weeks ago. Who'd have thought lashing out serious $$ on a gaming PC would prevent it being used as a gaming PC.
Bitter sweet irony.

Whilst I'm here, may as well try and get a response regarding this issue. Is it still being looked into or has the blame and responsibility been passed on to AMD and Nvidia?
Thanks in advance for any responses.

I actually felt pretty depressed when reading that, thinking about where PC games should be compared to where they are.
I also have a PS3 and cannot wait for Uncharted 3, it looks gorgeous. But it shouldn't, it should look dated compared to PC.
Also, un-related, but I really hope Skyrim isn't a port. Anyway, back to Multi-GPU problems...

Sorry Cry-Adam, but that link is to page 17. Do you think people coming here read EVERY page? Did you notice you reposted that on page 79?! Like i said in a previous post, the posts from the Cry-Team should be in one location. I suggested at the start of the thread. But that doesn't get you off the hook, because that post was made two days after launch day, and SINCE then, AMD is STILL said to be working on a THIRD set of CAPs (via @CatalystCreator on Twitter), and on March 31st ManuelG from nVIDIA forums said it's the game. Hmm... are you admitting you are not communicating with AMD on this and only nVIDIA? Wow, you guys at Crytek don't know how to communicate at all, and it shows here as well.

Wow. I really feel buttslammed for buying this game. I'm a PC enthusiast, bought Fry Cry, bought Crysis, and I wanted to push my rig to limit. Dang, this here is some bu//$hit.

Well, at least I'm getting to play my old games again while I wait. Crysis Warhead is something I never did finish back in the day. Max Payne is still pretty bad-ass too :)

My little thread is all grown up.

The latest Nvidia drivers that came out made the flickering less noticable, but Its still there. I had to use some workarounds that I have already added to my first post to make sure I could enjoy the game with SLI.

I hope the 1.2 patch eliminates Flickering completely.

LOL you got jokes. The guy you warned, PLG23, left thinking that it wasn't fixed also. So did about 8 other people. I think it was a pretty big issue to make the top release notes... certainly more than being able to crouch in SP and MP! Sue me for thinking logically. So only after YOU seem to get pissed off, you finally post the link to the updated sticky after posting here like 3 times. Thank you? You never thought if you posted it here to begin with, that anyone coming here after to check the status of the issue wouldn't see it, or see the posts from people who did and are saying it works?

You guys need to work on your communication skills. BIG TIME.

What information would that be? That you're "looking in to it"? You have to be able to be more specific than that by now: as some have pointed out, it has been some time now and yet we have had no information since that post on page 17. That is not "information" in any meaningful way to the consumers.

Don't get me wrong, I love the things that work with the game, but many issues are yet unresolved and, therefore, makes the game crippled: the CF flickering (no, disabling half of my HD 5970 isn't a "fix", it's a cop out on your part), the LE unlocks not being available in-game, regular unlocks not saving (yet again, a tedious workaround is no fix). These things need a fix, and till that is done we - the paying consumer - need some confirmation that you are making progress, that you are in conversations with nVidia/AMD, and that the developer of the game we've bought are "on top of things" as we speak - not just 1? weeks ago.

I must be half asleep. I could almost swear Cry-Adam said it was fixed. The link he posted says nothing other than that it was updated April 4th.

Patch installs successfully, verified by right clicking exe in game dir v1.2.0.0

Still flickering, still same framerate as one HD 6950.

Deleted autoexec created by Crysis2AdvancedGraphicsOptions v1.7 from \bin32
Loaded Crysis 2 to refresh i guess
Exited game
Enabled Crossfire
Restarted Computer
Loaded Fraps
Started game
No flickering at first, then BAM!
Framrate 40-60 (same as one HD 6950)
Disabled Crossfire
Cursed Crytek and wished bad upon them

Using:
11.3 CATs
11.2Cap4's
Max detail @ 1920x1080

I'm using 11.3 Cats because i had BSOD when disabling Crossfire with 11.4 march 23 previews
I'm using 11.2 Cap4 because 11.3 Cap1 is for steam version.

This is garbage. why would Cry-Adam post a link to sticky when there is nothing about the flickering being fixed? cant believe he actually came here and said i/we missed it twice, but there is nothing there about it. he should be fired i agree. It's funny because AMD is working on new CAPs, but its supposedly fixed in the update.

I feel like I'm at a screening of Tron 3D, but that night the movie is only being shown in Black and White and 2D :)

I'm sure it's still a great film, but I'll come back later when it's being shown how it was intended, heh.

Too bad they charged me already, but at least I don't have to pay for another ticket, I guess.

Okay, my anology needs work. I'm going back to watching Dollhouse on Netflix.

FIX THIS POS GAME YOU IDIOTS SO I CAN PLAY IT UNTIL I CAN PIRATE CRYSIS 3. YOU THOUGHT YOU HAD PIRACY PROBLEMS BEFORE. OH YOU AINT SEEN NOTHING YET! YOU PISSED OFF THE WRONG PEOPLE!!! MAKE SURE CRYSIS 3 IS NEAR BUG FREE, CUZ I WONT EVEN PIRATE THE FUUCKER IF ITS ANYTHING LIKE THIS. HEY THERE YOU GO, MAKE CRYSIS 3 EVEN WORSE THAN CRYSIS 2 AND THEN YOU WON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT PIRACY.

FUUCK YOU CEVAT YERLI. THIS IS YET AGAIN PROOF DEVELOPERS KILL GAMES. NOT US.
