When You create a multiplayer game, You must be aware in which year You're living in and observe the current and past standards established and expected of a proper online first person shooter.
Standards such as the ability to vote kick/ban obvious hackers with preposterous scores.
Standards such as the ability to auto-join a server when a slot is available instead of 10 minutes of a frustrating round of mouse-click join, server full, hit enter, mouse-click join, server full and so on.
Standards, which most importantly, prevent hacking/hackers such as PunkBuster for example.
Oh and by the way, what happened to proper PC advanced graphics/video settings?
Here's what I think.
Crysis 2 MP has been a disaster so far, to put it mildly. Most ranked servers aren't connecting. Unranked servers are raising Your XP but not giving You weapon/gear unlocks. It's an absolute pain in the ass to find a working server let alone the specific one You're looking for. In my case, I'm looking for Ranked Professional Instant Action (Deathmatch) servers, which even after You find them are an annoying chore to join due to no auto-join feature.
And last but not least, the incessant hacking/hackers that are present if You're so fortunate as to actually connect to a working server.
What can be done about it? Perhaps nothing, since EA has a long and illustrious history of not giving a **** about that which their customers actually think . . .
PS: Current Rank is 24 and I'm really enjoying Pro Deathmatches, which are each fun and challenging rounds of survival only wish that nano vision wasn't bloody useless since the C2 MP demo . . .
