9/10

Well, in my opinion:

-If you created load outs, you should be able to spawn with them, and have the items deducted from your total PP

-You (or, mostly I) earn too much PP

-Firing from the hip (instead of using the sights) is sometimes better and faster for short-medium distances (with laser)

9/10. I am rating the first Crysis, not the expansion Crysis Wars. Not unless you want to see the lowest rating of your life. ;)

Power Struggle is amazing, I love that gamemode. Instant Action was also good for improving your skills. The community is full of great people that will help you try and improve. The weapons have a good amount of recoil. The size of the maps were truly astonishing andfelt like a battlefield. The cash being earned and ranking system was perfect! Things were very well balanced aside from a bad apple here or there. The gameplay was just about perfect!

The game was brought down by a couple problems. Unfortunately, the lag that Crysis caused on everyones computer made a lot of people never get into the Multiplayer. Also, there were a ton of bugs that would frustrate a new player and give them a bad first impression. The severe lack of gamemodes didn't help either.

Why does it get a 9/10? Because whether people would like to admit or not, Crysis would have taken longer to die. On somedays, Crysis even has more players than Crysis Wars! Without Crysis Wars, and if Crytek continued to support Crysis a bit longer, we would still have a thriving community. Patch support to a version 1.12 on Crysis for a two year timespan (until November 2009, one patch every two months) would have made it a better game. The only thing that ended Crysis prematurely was Crysis Wars, and we all know the failure that game was. The first Crysis had phenomenal gameplay, and true patch support would have made it an amazing title. So the game gets a 9/10 for great foundatining. The only thing that ever brought Crysis down, was the expansion sack Crysis Wars.

8.5/10

Lag, tanks, nade spam, gaymores, gaydar, gaytol, and way to much glitching like the speed glitch. I can't stand when people give credit to others that glitch or when people that glitch thing they are good because of it.

32 people was more than enough, but most people were noobs and they would sit around or camp.

CRYSIS WARS
[+]
-great freedom offered many tactics (flanking, reeinforcement truck, sniping, vehicle combat, guerilla warfare...)

-nanosuit made movement cool and game fast (strength jump, grenade toss, speed reloading and leaping...)

-bunch of items helped to equip one to adapt to any given situation (mines and claymores for ambushes, rpgs for Helis/tanks, SniperScope for sniping and laser and reflex for Close quarters...)

-good features such as kill feedback and anti spawn kill spawn system

-no campers

-every time you play a map it plays differently

[-]
-many bugs (soundloop, No-recoil, crash to desktop, last purchase, server vulnerabilites...)

-high lag and low perfomance (even on low barely playable on many machines)

-steep learning curve (some players have 10/2 K/D, whilst some hav 1/10)

-lack of tutorials (Didn't know about shooting tanks into back with rifles kills them, even though Ive been playing for more than a year now)

-imbalanced items (scar and sniper weapon are the only used weapons)

-lack of gamemodes

Conclusion: Some more patches, work and a better perfomance paired with some tutorials and a less steep learning curve would've made it one of the most awesome MP Games ever.

I completely agree with your [+] but not your [-].
Every game has a steep learning curve of some kind. The guns arn't exactly imballenced, the SCAR and Sniper Rifle cost alot of PP the other weapons cost less so new people who just joined will always be with those and once you get more kills and get more PP you will have enough to get the SCAR and Sniper Rifle.

Really all you need to do if find a good server and stick with it. I've been playing multiplayer from the 1st day that crysis came out back in 2007. I have seen how the new patches have changed the game from how it originally was. I don't play it as much as I once did. But I still play it bout 2-3 times a week.

I would give Crysis + Expansion a 9/10.

Yes there are still a few little bugs floating around and the occasional hacker. But other then that Crysis has been my all time favorite multiplayer experience.

Crap I forgot something else. Crysis also has some of the friendliest and most helpful community of any game I've seen in a long time. While were killing each other we'll chat all game long about random stuff thats a good laugh.

8/10

+its more fun than most fps's out now
+Sometimes you might get into a game with no hackers and that can be great fun
+ If you ask a question in chat, it always gets answered :)
+nano suit makes the game more strategic

- Not many people play
- too many hackers (people that cant play the game so they resort to cheating)
- games are way too long

There are in fact fewer hackers per person in wars than in most other FPS's the hacks are just more obvious in wars (due to the sandbox nature of the game)

7/10

10/10 for the map design with mission based objectives.

1/10 for all the dushbags that crack the game and only play mindless deathmatches.

Power Struggle is played much more than deathmatch. But yes, cracked servers are a huge issue.

@Flamers
The bug does still exist :( If you don't believe me, I'll demonstrate it to you live.

@Talon
I'm unsure about this one, tbh. At this stage, where the gane us basically dead, No key servers are probably doing more good than harm. But, as I said, I'm really unsure.

@JJ509
Yes, but I think Crysis Wars is even harder, think of the strafing combined with the suit use, grenades and the fast cover using...

Additionally, it would add a lot more variety if more weapons were balanced. Think of TIA and IA for example.

Crysis 1 looks good and is fun for a while, but too little variety (for example, very limited choice of weapons, and what weapons there ARE aren't balanced, which is why everyone uses SCAR/LAM), tiny choice of gamemodes (FFA, PS), and a host of other bugs, glitches and exploits lead me to give it a 6/10.

Wars I'd give 7/10, mainly because Crytek fixed a bunch of issues, finally got around to finishing the TIA gamemode included in Crysis 1 (yes guys, the files for TIA are all there in GameData.pak\Scripts\GameRules\), and because it's not quite as dead as Crysis 1 yet.

They should have fixed Crysis 1 rather than releasing another game.
@Darklite: I think you confused Crysis 1 and Wars weapon balance. In C1 every weapon was useful in each specific situation, unlike Wars where it quickly gets repetetive with only 2 useful weapons to choose between (the Dsg1 and SCAR + laser combo which magically reduces recoil/spread to 0 level). Crytek completely messed up the weapon balance which originally was almost perfect. And the vehicle physics are way more fun in C1 than Wars, where cars behave (as Hawkeye used to say) as if they were on rails.

They also explode when you drive into almost anything (Tree? Explode. Sign? Explode. Glitchy invisible object? Explode.) :/
