Your ports are closed for the game. Try turning off your Firewall.

I can't walk you through port forwarding. I don't know how to do it. Maybe someone else does.

ok disableing firewall didnt work...but maybe because Im on a wireless connection to the main dsl thing because Im up in my room and that dsl box is in the basemant

edit: wow just noticed the edit button fail on my part lol anyways I talked to my dad and he said that it would have nothing to do with the ports for not even getting a server list let alone join a server he said that the only time you need to forward ports is when your hosting a server and thats only on some stuff not all....so idk cuz Im not even getting a server list cuz I click multiplayer enter the code and a few seconds later it just says check my network.....I mean idk.....

Check your anti-virus.. my McAfee was killing the login attempt because it uses IRC protocols, so I had to put an exception in the anti-virus scanner for crysis2.exe and boom! fixed.

There are a lot of suggestions on the forums that worked for different people, so there could be any one of 3 or 4 issues.. including having to go deep in your window's configs and deleting window's exceptions and recreating them (didn't work for me).. You'll just have to search the forms for both MP connect issues, and network issues.

There were reports saying that ICS could be the cause of similar problems.

You do realise that with Wireless it drops 1 in 12 packets. So if its using an IRC protocal it could be dropping packets then crashing. Try a cabled connection tbh, thats what I use and havent faced an issue except buying the DAMN DLC!!
